umm this guy is not a juicy donk at all. He's up 6k at a winrate of 8.38 PTBB/100 at mostly 100nl with some 200-400nl.

I stared at that HH for like 3 minutes trying to figure out why you would ever fold. Oh well congrats on winning $100 off of him!

Guy with 84 asks what the other guy has, he flips over flush, 84 waits a few seconds then simply softly says "kaboom" as he flips over his boat. The other guy gets up and throws his chip tray at the dealer and walks away.

I lol'd :D

KC = tilly ? 'I can't beat that' imo.

he's lying about having KJ then. no player that good is ever overbet shoving KJ here unless he thinks you're a huge fish who hates folding or there's a crazy match dynamic. if you read the hand for a second, you realize it'd be horrible because there's basically no worse hands in your range that can call. he'd valuetown himself about 5x more often than he'd get called by worse and it's not even close. maybe 10x more often. he just said it to try to tilt you

guys, the fold is actually good against most good players. there are so many good players who are going to always have it (AT or T9) here that it's not even funny. obv since it's HU there are a lot of opponent-dependent things, but if your read is that he's one of those players, it's not a terrible fold at all

overbet shoving two pair there would be so so bad tbh not to mention it's really hard for him to show up with two pair given how it played out. think about the hand for like 10 seconds

Thanks Combu I dont feel as crazy. First off, if you look at the hand,up untill the river there was basically nothing going on. I was playing this guy for like an hour up to this point and if he had any King he was betting theflop and turn alot harder. From experience/gut I just felt like it was a rivered straight kind of deal and, quite possibly, he may have known I hit 2 pair hell maybe even a set and thought hed get paid....not sure here but I think i made a good lay down :)

now that I look at the HH again, I know i was not K orQQcuz he def would have reraised me PF, but it looks a lotlike A 10 HU....

nah i don't fold against a donk. but vs. a decent player i at least strongly consider it and likely fold it, depending on more specific factors and how disciplined i'm feeling

lets just say I had good reads on him, just not good personal statistic reads ;)

Even if he was a crazy donk, I think off of the way he was playing and my reads, I still would have made the lay down

on another note I recently dropped down to 6 tables to focus more on poker andmoney rather than gold and points, ill make it to gold anyways but I want to really focus on getting to 50nl permenatly. I also amusing a notebook to take notes and right down things to make me remember not to tilt, get attached, and memorizing statistics too.

Yeah once I found out he was good I don't mind the fold. No offense, but basically I'm sure he was thinking that you were the fish and when solid players overbet-shove on fish it's because they have the nuts and think the fish may have like TP or another hand like that they can't fold. I just don't see how you make that fold against a real spewtard.

what i meant was that i wouldnt make the laydown against a real spewtard, but if the spewtard was playing like this,i would, which would never happen, so you're right :)

Haha! Rakeback hit me? Screw that, I'll just withdraw all my money before I use my points. Full Tilt: 0, C9: 1.

Good morning armchair quaterbacks. :)

Good game KC.

(edit - not that I think the analysis isn't edifying. Just that it seems easier when you are not sitting at the table. :) )

well a quick check tells me ive had 6 set under sets, and 0 set over sets. Whats even worse is that all of the set unders have been for full stacks, so if my set overs aren't i will actually cry
