OMG! this is epic as hell.
I really hope Phil loses his sponser deals one day and will go busto and forced to grind the lowstakes just for the entertainment value.

The guy is so clueless when it comes to online and really should do some checking before he fires his mouth of at players that are much better then him at the game he is playing....

Pssh Zachvac posting pictures, obviously photoshopped, of him at some empty poker table with a bunch of chips in front and sporting a 'cap' of some sorts.

Just remember what I told you all in my video, more lies I tell you !

We all know he was actually on a Mc Donalds burger flipper of the month cuddling retreat to re-motivate him into the fast food service grind.

The NY Times article on bad beats as a culture speaks to this thread... sometimes I think I am seeing a small cadre of players looking at pimples on their play, er faces, short term swing talk he he... but nothing wrong with holding a mirror up to yr play.
Myself am still lopping C game and shooten em up at omaha.
But Ice is better looking.

Totally sucky session this evening. Every time I had JJ (4 times) some asstwit shortstacker OMG DIE had QQ. Every time, seriously. Got no action at all with AA, didnt get KK or QQ, and I swear it felt like every single c-bet got shoved on. :( Should be down wayyyyyy more, but I wonz a stack.

30,000 players on at one stage this evening on i-poker as well, which I though bodes well.

Had my first session at 10nl today after hitting the $250 mark yesterday at 5nl.

I probably just ran into some really bad fish tonight but i cannot believe how much the play still sucks at 10nl, I was a bit apprehensive about moving up b/c i wouldnt have any hands on the regs, didnt know what the play was going to be like etc etc but i gotta say, I frickin love it lol Some of the calls from the mostly fishie villains were completely unbelievable.

Don't think tonights results will be at all sustainable lol but below is a graph for my first session (only n hour long) at 10nl :D

I know icemonkeys runnin bad so i don't wanna go on too much but my march, so far, has been somethin else.

It's just ridiculous how bad i'm running so far this month... And the all-in EV is only a part of it. It's really hard to capitalize on fold equity when your semi-bluffs keep running into top sets...

If I drank and if I lived in Paris I'd take you out for a drink and we could get hammered commiserating. I decided to "slum it" and drop down to 50nl to get my game back in order. Instead the same stuff keeps happening so I am sadly considering auto-banning myself from Stars to force myself into a break.

Lowlights for 50nl inclued the posted the hand where I flopped top two, got it in, and villain hit runner-runner for the straight ... and then this last session AA got cracked by 94s ... just unreal I was firing away, he hit his flush.

So 1500 hands at 50nl = -$110 ... so ... yeah I think i'm tapping out folks. I do submit to Belgo's below-EV graph, I'm only around $550-below.

https://www.cardschat.com/forum/cash-games-11/question-day-loose-aggro-way-go-146196/#post1116764

These types of posts tilt the **** out of me. People who want to know what the best "long term stats" are make me want to skull-**** an infant with a crowbar.

You're playing an exploitive game. Getting people to make mistakes is how you make money. Stop worrying about good stats, or what style you think is "in" right now, and start worrying about how you can get some player to shuttle you sklansky bucks.

This is not rocket science. Make people fold better hands when you have the worst of it, and make them put money in when your hand is best. And there's not stat that measures your ability to do this other than money you win over the long term.

The only time stats become relevent is when you're thinking about your stats in relationship to someone you're trying to exploit. So if a donk's stack off preflop range is 3.2% of hands, and he shoves, then we should call with X.X% where X.X% makes our EV positive (and even then, how that X.X% is made up should change as well depending on the player).

When I look at a micro grinder's stats, I usually think "Gee, he's seeing too many showdowns", because people at microlimits play straightforwardly for the most part. I'm not saying a WTSD of 25% is the most optimal number. But against the average fish you play against, you should probably be seeing that many. What you really need to get out of that advice is "Well, I'm probably calling too many river bets against ABC TAG's with TPMK type hands. Maybe I'll start more hands that make top-pair, medium kicker preflop to raises from ABC TAG players."

Argh, I've edited this post like a trillion times and I don't think I'm making any sense. If anyone got anything out of it, w00t to you.

Yep c9 I have those thoughts too, especially when I see random people posting about whether small ball or big ball (w/e the alternative is) is the good way to play. The best way to play is the way you can exploit your opponents the best lol.
