There are women just as good as the men, but they are just a smaller percentage of the poker world in general. Id bet that the percentage of women who are successful is huge compared to men.

No men are just represented in greater numbers. If a tournament only has 5 percent women than its more likely you’ll have an all men’s final table. And there are women who have won open event bracelets.

Anyone male or female can learn poker. The idea that men are superior is ridiculous and I certainly disagree with that. There are some amazing woman poker players. Whoever (man or woman) puts in the work and dedication to succeed will be the best. The great thing about poker is almost anyone can become a good player.

Well, this is a very contradictory issue, women themselves are extremely intelligent, and I think that the results are being given, although there are not so many professional players, I think that women are more intelligent than men, and in the game itself women dominate more, but very few dare to make a career at a professional level.

LOL there are many braclet winners that women dude. Id say not many women play poker cause they are becoming politcal figure heads for change and poker is a dumb mans game. Think about it its like saying why dont men do well at having babies i bet they too weak to handl that pain if a bad beat drives them insane. lol Sorta insulting not only to women but to men every where. Personally i rarely see women who suck at poker. and i play with them live and im sure online as well. men are more naturally agressive than women..possibly. Most women MAY have to train themselves to be more aggressive in order to be more successful poker players.

The flipside is vanessa selbst...a very successgul player...but tries /tried to be too aggressive, and go hyper aggressive with the wrong hands at the wrong time.

however the female of the species is more deadly than the male...apparently..as the saying goes.

I play regular cash games against (at least) two women on a site with a very small player pool..SwC....everyone knows everyone more or less. One plays short stack strategy and is very aggressive with any 2 broadway +...not really a winning player over all...the other is also aggressive, but plays full stack..and chooses her moments wisely and is very profitable...both in cash and tourney games. I am VERY wary playing larger pots against her...she has handed me my ass on a plate more than once.

on a basic level, most women maybe are not naturally wired to devote the time necessary to get good at the game..they would rather do other things.Its exactly the same with chess.

Women can get to the top levels in both games...and do...there are many women grandmasters...but only one has ever been able to compete with men at the very top of the chess world...Judit Polgar....but she was trained by Bobby Fischer ( who he..??), and had a similar hothousing father as the tennis Williams sisters. Judit also has 2 sisters who played top level chess...but not so well.

There are a few women who play and win at almost top level poker...but not many at all.

Well maybe they don't have a bracelet but I do know good players who haven't won a bracelet that doesn't mean they aren't good at playing, my favorite player Maria Lampropulus I follow her on tweeter and she always uploads her triumphs I admire her a lot.
