Minimum age to play poker

Minimum age to play poker; I know it must be of legal age; but I taught the holdem rules for my sister 15 years and how to play. Now this just playing better than me when we play at home playing. but I do not know if I should encourage her to play but seriously for being too young

I don't know how it is organized with online sites. I think she must past the legal age (18+) for having an own account. But if you have an account there and you are over 18 then you could play together there. Which means: You are signing for a MTT for example and you discuss the hands with her. Like this you both will become better and all should be legal from my point of view. Also there is no money risk/investment from her in her age!

I believe that there should be a minimum age to play poker, anyone can learn, but to play for real money should be 18

Age does not matter, you can play from one you have reason, but if you want to play legally from 18 years, but it is always good to start earlier to have experience and more solid strategies to avoid losing too much money.

You can understand and play poker at the same age that you can understand and play every complex game. But I think you have to be 18 in order to play poker with money because its a game which is included in gambling. So you need the maturity of an adult person!

Main problem at low age (below legal age) is not to learn the game itself (young people learn faster than us) but the absence of concepts like bankroll management and free time management. Most teenagers (not all of course) can easily become addicted to gambling or neglect their education.

I believe it is a good way to start at younger age as everything to be good at. I mean I started to play card games at age of 8 and I am pretty good at many of it. Or for example I had a schoolmate whose father was pretty good at chess. This guy gifted the whole class a chess table. We were happy to play and he was the best of us. So if you want to be good at something it's better to start at younger age and never stop or quit.

friend, i learned to play poker since years of age, my father used to make a poker table at home every weekend and at 14 years old i beat him and his friends.

Surely it's not that hard to figure out that depending on your country you probaly need to be whether 18 or 21 years old to be able to play poker legally ...

By law, my country is allowed to play from the age of 18. If it's not about casino.
I would introduce my children to this game at the same time as chess.
With the right approach to learning, you can develop very usefil skills.

I think that a person can play poker for money when they reach adulthood, it seems to me that only starting from this age a person can not only manage money adequately but also earn it for playing poker

Thank you for the post. That is really great that she has taken to the game so well. She sounds like a natural rounder. I believe online she has to be 18. So she isn't to far away. Good Luck

Age when a person is mature and responsible, because poker is a game with money. Above 18 is ok!

I think the minimum age for playing poker should be at least 16 years. Children are not advised to gamble, it is better to read books.

I started playing poker at 13 but again the right age to play is at 21+. whenever there is an age limit in real money.

I think only adults should play poker. Gambling is not for children. And I also think that you should not encourage anyone to play. Playing poker or not is a personal and conscious choice for each person.
