Also maybe the promotion isnt a massive fu to non uk players, but more of a 'we aren't doing so good in the uk market, lets get more'. I mean surely people such as TB are going to play there this month now right?

^^ you wouldn't be feeling left out if they offered it to France only instead?

Besides..I don't think anybody really wants them to take the promotion away from the UK...they just want to able to participate as well.

ye id feel left out along with 95% of the rest of the players, but i wouldn't complain because if anything the promo improves the games for say US regs because you are going to have a lot more god awful british players playing which is good for the games. Complaining is all well and good, but complaining will only cause them to stop the promotions altogether instead of making this available to all countries which may have been original intent. I doubt that will happen now though since they are getting flooded with complaint mails

Are you serious? That film was a big steaming dump on the entire X-men franchise.

A) They totally raped the entire Wolverine backstory. Why is it the only time anyone in Hollywood has an original idea, it always involves destroying an already awesome story?

B) Deadpool got f'd up big time. Probably the greatest comic book character of all time, and they completely ruined him. I love Deadpool and I hear he may be getting his own movie now, and I'm not even excited in the least about it after I seen how poorly they did on him in this. (Having him not break the 4th wall was extremely disappointing)

C) All the secondary and tertiary characters were poorly done and most of them completely unnecessary except to get fanboys to go "ZOMG Gambit is in this?!?!?! Must see"

THUS - that's probably why we're all pissed. We're tired of this crap.

EDIT: I'm actually super pissed. I kind of take this as a big middle finger to US and other non-UK players to be honest.

Sean tbh we have many many choices where we can play so they may try and get us to play at stars with this promo. You guys are limited and stars probs know they are better than FT + ultimate because of the software, no security etc at the others. Therefore they feel as though the US guys are more "forced" to play at stars rather than have the option.
just my opinion but maybe there will be a US promo soon.

Ok so I worked out its worth 70k extra FPPs which is $1120 and leaves me 15k vpps short of the 3k milestone bonus but I would normally reach the 2k vpp one anyway so its worth $2120 to me and thats me only playing 475k hands until the end of the year and I may try for a ridiculous like 150k hands month or something in July so yeah its worth a good stab tbh.

It seems that current Supernova players get the 80k vpps award as well. The way I read it I was thinking it was only for everyone < supernova. So cool!

As for it being worth $5k thats BS unless your going for mega milestones as well.Basically for current SN's it will put you within touching distance of the 200k milestone. But I was hoping to go for at least the 300k one so yeah I may get the 400k one now as well.... Ahh **** it I may as well go for 500k

Funny, when a site DOESN'T offer me a promotion because they feel "I have no alternative" I kind of take that as a screw you ... they KNOW I don't have a choice so I get treated as a second class customer. Yay for that.

And how do you think that makes the customer feel? I little screwed over, yes? And when there IS alternatives, am I more likely to stick with the site that screwed with me "because they could because there was no alternative" or a site that is hungry for my business that offers me a great deal?

Anyways, I don't want to take away from what is an absolute meal ticket for you UK guys, definitely take advantage of what has to be the best promotion I've ever seen at stars. Good luck guys.

They didn't screw you over it's the same as it always was for you if the benefits aren't enough to play Stars then don't but just because they give someone else a bonus doesn't mean you're getting screwed over. If they gave 80k to UK and took 80k from US then yeah it'd be perfectly normal to feel screwed over but seriously this is like 1st grade mentality "omg he got something better for lunch it's not fair". They're a business, they're in it to make money and they think this will get UK players to commit to them. They said they may do similar things in the US later but just because they give some people a bonus doesn't obligate them to give it to anyone else and you're not getting screwed over because someone else got something you didn't. Sorry if it seemed harsh but I'm seeing so many poker players whining about this and it just makes no sense and demanding it probably makes it less likely to happen. /rant

the only way it really "screws" other players is it slightly devalues supernova status. there will be way more supernovas (%-wise) this year than any other year, and that will lower the value of the good VIP freerolls since they'll have more players. but that's still something, and a little annoying

What it amounts to is a rake discount for UK players.

It will not bring more fishy UK players as recreational players don't care about fpp status.

It wont even effect folks like me who understand what it is but dont play the volume needed for it to matter. I will have a hard time seeing silver much less SN.

But grats to the UK players.
