I had much the same graph.. Until I moved up to 50nl about 1.5 weeks ago.
Happy swongs (But then of course I do suck.)

Ok cool, so you took a 16BI shot? Or did you just move up for good.

TBH not sure if you should have moved down after a -5BI shot, I know you are over rolled etc but I think you could have saved yourself some $$$ by just taking small steps to moving up and admitting defeat at 50nl first time and just moved back down until you replenished the shot losses.

Yeah that $500 tourney win came at an akward time, as it gave me so much more room to play with.
But I've bought a $300 ipod and $300 for coaching so I'm now back to 25 buy ins and I'm thinking of seeing it as a shot as of now.

I never really saw it as one, just moved up. Figured I would make it.
If I lose 3 more buyins, I can go back down to 25nl and grind it back up, repeat, etc

Enty, you should be looking to move up gradually. Add in one higher table with the rest, and gradually add as your roll increases. TBH I rekon its a mistake to move up "all in one go"

I don't either. It makes bet sizing more of a chore and allows for more errors because of keeping track of which tables are which limits -- unless you're completely relying on the "bet pot" button and similar.

What about halving the number of tables played when moving up? If you're playing 8 tables at $25NL, play 4 at $50 NL, etc. Then you've got the same amount of money on the line, and more room to concentrate on opponents.

I restarted my database when I decided to restart grinding. At 25nl I think I'm somewhere around 14,000 hands and I'm still negative.

Two early big downswings that I still haven't managed to recover from, yet.
