I've been on a very tough downswing for about a year and a half now and from the perspective I have atm I'd say all those options are blessings :) and would add option D) Being card dead for long stretches

Honestly, all three of these cause emotional damage, but JJ takes the crown.
  • AK is a drawing hand, so you expect to miss sometimes.
  • Chip leader with 20 left is terrifying, but at least you have a cushion.
  • Jacks just give you pure, unadulterated hope right before crushing your soul when a King spikes the flop.

I'd pick C) Being chip leader with 20 players left. 😄
Pocket Jacks and Ace-King can be frustrating, but they're just individual hands.
Being the chip leader deep in an MTT comes with huge pressure—you have to balance aggression, avoid unnecessary risks, and deal with ICM while everyone is trying to double through you.
One bad decision or lost flip can turn a dominating stack into an average one very quickly.
So for me, protecting a big stack deep in a tournament is much harder than playing JJ or AK. ♠️

Great to see the old Fulltilt software in action! I LOVED that site! I watched 1/2 the vid (seen it before) and watching the play sure has me missing those days. Back when a person could suck at poker and still win (ie. 'me' )
I know, I loved it too, and PokerStars...those were the days!

There's no curse in Poker, it's all probability, you must adapt your plays according to the table, your stack size and your opponents', you should pay attention to their aggressiveness, the Pay Jump and so on.

Being a check leader puts pressure on the rest. That would never be a bad thing.
