some day i had yesterday

im awoken after a solid 4 hours sleep to find out one of my mom's 6-month-old kittens (her name is monkey) is hurt and needed to be taken to the vet immediately. all we knew was that she limped into the house through the cat door yelping in pain and she had this big awful bloody wound near her front right leg. so we take her and they determine it's a snakebite. they say they need to treat her with antivenin or she'll die, and it was no guarantee that it wouldn't already be too late

so they do that, 2 hours later i come back and get monkey and am told that they used literally the last vial of antivenin they had but her face and leg are still swelling up a lot -- that her face could swell up so much that it might cut off her breathing and suffocate her. then they tell me that they're about to close because it's a friday night, there won't be anyone there and there's nothing more they can do for her. the nearest emergency animal place to this middle-of-nowhere hole is an hour away, so i have no choice but to take the kitten there. after getting expertly lost on the way, i arrive with the kitten. the vets there say the swelling must have gone down, that they'll treat her with antibiotics and watch her over night. today we find out that she's okay, all her vital signs are good, so went and picked her up and now monkey's back home

on a more positive note: that same night, my friend who i'm staking for sngs had a +$1.5k day which finally got us back to even after several months of running terribly and being down as much as $6,000

Havent played much poker last few days besides a few donkaments and probably wont play much this weekend.
Just not in the right mood to play tbh.
Might try a quick seasion later but something tells me im gonna end up watching tv/play video games/go out ect instead.
