When you play online you can't read the physical of someone but they can,t read yours either. to make up for that i take notes of the players at the table(online). Unfortunatly when i play online i can't do different type of gestures to vary my play. Overall i prefer the thrill of a live action game. Plus where i play the food and regular drinks are free when you play regular games.
You will have to look at many different thing:
1) Which is more confortable for you.
2) Which way do you win the most.
3) How good are you at not revealing anything. Basicaly are you an open book?
4) Etc etc etc.
You should learn to crawl before learning to walk. some online you have the chance to play 1/2 cents games. when you feel that you learned enough the move up a bit.
