A lot more, I had a plan to this year to move overseas and because of the pandemic I was stuck at home.
So, I begin playing poker again after a few years away.
The amount of content available today to learn poker is much bigger than it was when I first met poker.
Then I played much more than I used to and with a different vision of the game.

I didn't play for 4 years since I lost money. Then have seen documentary on Netflux about compulsive addicts. Played in November for 2 weeks like nuts. Betting and cash games. Went to 3000 eur of plus lost all on Nadal and Barcelona and Masters doubles.
Now will give myself a last chance and do what I am best in just tournaments on weekends out of home office.
I have a kid and don't have much work during first two weeks if the month. Was thinking to gamble and work to have extra money before kid comes come and since we can't go out at all.. bad thinking.

My answer is yes even if it's two weeks or month after 4 years.. I have a problem. And it was true as they said in Netflix only 2% compulsive gamblers can quit cold feet I was 2% 4 years.. then got some dopamine and lost a lot of money in 3 weeks.

Will try to limit and see if i can play only tournaments and win pocket money. If not I won't gamble ever again I need to prove myself I have talent for NL HOLDEM big tournaments. It's only thing I can control in gambling and have good results and they don't make me tilt during the play at all.. other things I am hormone bitch on a period eating sweets coursing and nuts. Just nuts...hoping NADAL will win ****ing Thiem in two sets for lots if money. I didn't even watch tennis for 4 years to see he is old... as Djokovic... for example.

Corona sucks we work from home, can't go out bars are closed, gyms...I can't walk to my work and chill. I need my hobby eg online poker.. when kid is in school or with dad at home, so I go and play in the room as free time and excuses to have some time free and private time. I never have it. Since March

Are you in plus? I was betting, cash, betting and lost money as donkey bitch... now just tournaments when kids goes to sleep around 7 once a week or twice... I have new gym so I will start exercising etc, hope for more peace/sleep/satisfaction and have results from tournaments.

I wonder if you who started again or gamble more have positive results? Do you work and gamble? Etc....

For a while I was playing a lot more but then work came back up and went back to normal so to speak. I cannot wait for my next trip which is in March and will spend about 10 days in Vietnam for some good ole fashion live poker tournament play with my buddies from Japan.

I can relate to your financial situation. I'm wondering how many are losing their money and can't get through the next week because they are addicts at betting here!

I think a lot...
I lost a lot but I am not broke, my Bill's are paid and everything I just lost extra money I would spend on Amazon or clothes or toys or new vacuum cleaner I wanted and don't need

In Spain.. eventhough I was tilting but I have learnt they all play at 888 and there are many many players during night only. During the day none 0! From my observing even with medium stakes they were loose. My hud didn't work, but always the same people. Overbetting on nothing.

Tournament rooms are half empty. Which I didn't play at all but will, soon try out waiting to chill now a bit and recover from tennis losses psychologically

I see also too many French players on their home site Winamax. Its bigger then poker stars EU 4 years ago and I never heard for Winamax before until now. It's good... played 2 tournaments went to prize pool it's fine..

So for France and Spain I can say people.e are throwing bombs out of boredom from my mid and microlimits play for 2-3 weeks... on cash. For hours at night during day they sleep. I guess they home office sleep then play until 3 am etc...

Just for the money, if there was no money, I wouldn't be playing poker. I would play Chess or CS Go. So you can find many ways to relax in the autumn and winter evenings. And so you are right, Poker for money is a great way to pass the evening, and have a great time.

I stopped playing on-line quite a few years ago, as I was more interested in Live games, I even ran a weekly game at my local Pub as a favor for the Landlord, I didn't get paid for it but he knew how much I loved the game and let me drink all night for free as this was the only way he could repay me for the hard work.
We ran a league game which gave players points and at the end of the 3 month season the top four went to a Casino in Manchester to play for a trip to Vegas and compete out there for a total prize pool of £50.000 all for free! Good Days.
With the Pandemic and Lock-down this of course stopped and although I played a little on-line for fun on Facebook I thought to myself Why play for fun money if I could play for real on PokerStars etc and if I am as good as I think I am surely I could make some real money on-line.
I proved to be right and from a starting bankroll of $210.00 (which I had already made from free-rolls) I bumped it up to $330.00 in a few months, so the potential to make money is there, But you have to be careful and cautious about the limits. I still play for the love of the game and the money will always be a bonus for playing well nothing more. It is the feeling I get from Winning a game which is worth a lot more than money and I still play a lot of Free-rolls and small stake games.
I recently played in a Pokerstars School Free-roll with over 9,500 Players and the top 100 won a ticket to the Micro Millions Main event this coming Sunday. Now to win in that would be fantastic but the actual winning of that ticket was good enough for me, Just to think I beat 9,400 players to win that ticket was and still is amazing!

When the fun Stops, STOP!

Poker is still banned by our own damn government from the "Land of the Free".

So no, I have not increased my play during the lockdown. If my American government would allow us TO BE FREE and allow us back onto Poker Stars again, then I would MOST DEFINITELY increase my play by about 1,000,000%.

But I know my government won't ever allow us to be free. They are hypocrites of the worst sort. Wear your masks!! (that's a joke, I don't believe in masks, it's just more government BS).

P.S. I use the play chips only on Poker Stars, I love the site so much I grind the play chips because I can play all my beloved games on Stars such as Badugi and 2-7 Lowball Single Draw No Limit, games I cannot play anywhere else in the world... but if I try to use real money on Poker Stars, then I'm a criminal... what an evil world it is.
