Poker is very important, It probably isn't the most important virtue but very important. It is really important in tournaments, especially when you are losing and you are watching people win with terrible hands. That's when you have to keep your composure, stay calm and be patient. And when your cards/opportunity comes don't be impatient bc someone could still have a better hand than you. just know your time will come.

Very important to have patience at poker. Amateurs hate waiting around so they tend to play with medium hands. Pros have patience and that's why they are very successful at poker.

Patience plays a key role in tournaments, especially it helps us to run deep in the tournaments. Though to win a tourney Patience along with risk and skill-set plays a vital role.

Patience is an important factor if not the most important !!
However, there are tournaments in which there is no time for patience because the blinds are growing fast, but I'm not playing these tournaments so that's me patience is an important factor for success in the tournament

I'm having my patience tested each day. I have been playing small buy in tourneys and really picking my spots to raise or call. The problem for me in the past 2 weeks is that I'm getting beat with the best hand on the turn or river over and over again. In each case I have thought about playing differently but i feel my move was correct. I'm sticking it out to see if my luck turns around. Good thing i don't spend a lot of $$$$ playing poker. LOL

If u have the necessary patience to wait till its ur time to win and the focus to know what to do to get the most from your hand, you will surely succed on poker. I dont mean its easy but those two skills ate trivial

depends ,if you happen to play on mtt & even cash games ,if the softwere you play is a fast one on any game (like 888) or is a regular any other , but I hate play n in a 300$ gtd 6hours & i don t only if i m broke ....wich it happens to be right nou

i leaned about being patient long befor i started playing poker,anyone who is a deer hunter can understand that,it certainly does help you out when your dealt trash for an hour,im certainly thankful to have patience it helps me alot more than just poker,as far as patience being a skill i think not,you either have patience or you dont,i definatly think its something one has to work on

Happened to me that for hours waiting for a great hand and at the end I have to go all in with medium hand.. So, patience is important especially for the tourneys, but I think that it isn't the most important.
