I bet that 80% of people here will say that Daniel is their hero, it's just because he's charismatic. But objectively Phil is much better player. If they'll play HU i wish to see how Daniel will read the poker face of Phil... It's like reading a "howtoloseyourchipsandrespectatthesamehour" book. He'll perform his "read" and will leave the table LOL

In my opinion Daniel is more flexible than Phil. But Phil is more unpredictable, plays hands that hardly somebody would play and he makes bad hands looking in pre flop as a kind of monsters. It's amazing when Daniel starts reading other pokerstars' cards...

Daniel has more fun

Daniel seems to enjoy the game more than Phil (and life in general)
To me this makes him the winner.

daniel is great, but I think it is not the best poker player,
and compared with ivey , ivey I think has a light advantage but is relative.

if you give me to choose between the two , without a doubt Daniel

Phil Ivey is the better all-around player, as noted by most pros, but Daniel's character will attract new players to the game. People want to play with Daniel, but I don't know of anyone who wants to sit down and play with Phil. So, Phil is the better poker player.
That being said, Daniel is the best possible face for poker as his attitude about the game and life will attract new players.

I particularly like much of Daniel Negreanu 's style of play, but we can not stop talking about Phil Ivey , he plays too well.

I like Phil Ivey over Daniel Negreanu because he doesnt talk as much at the poker table. I also see him playing a lot more in cash games and on television. All the weird stuff like push-ups at the table that Daniel does is kind of dumb and makes poker players look immature or eccentric. Phil Ivey is more professional and plays poker. He still has conversations but he doesnt have some extra activity or have something extra to prove at the table.

It's really hard choice, i really like Phil Ivey because his style of playing is little risky and it help him most time. But to be honest i preffer Negreanu cause he play really stably.

I've only ever played against Daniel, but from hands I've seen I'd have to say Ivey. Daniel has really made a big effort to evolve his game though the last several years.

I think to answer you have to seperate the two main variants. If you were asking about a deep stacked cash game then I would take Phil Ivey but if you were asking about a multi day mtt I will take Daniel N. So I think they are both fantastic players but have slightly different skillsets that provide an advantage in the different forms of NL.
