I don't because I think it's important to be careful what associations you train your brain to make. If you get a temporary lift from drinking while playing, the brain will pretty quickly compensate and you'll develop a habit.
Its the same reason one shouldn't drink when you are sad. Relying on alcohol to cope is super dangerous.

I have just the opposite luck. I play fewer hands and compliment the drunk on how well he is playing and I that I like his style of play. Of course I like it, I am waiting for a good hand and I know he will double me up. The only flaw in my strategy is that someone else at the table is playing the same strategy as I am and gets his money first.
One time and this is no BS, the table started buying rounds, for everyone. I joined in and ordered virgin drinks. When it came my turn to buy I bought two drinks for everyone.I cashed out $4500 in a 1/2 NLH game. My best night ever, and I usually don't play cash, but I was happy I did that night.:D:D:D
Jim

That's a great strategy, I will start doing that. Thank you, Very happy that you cashed a good money 1/2. Congrats! :):):)

no, it's not a good idea, lack of confidence you solve by studying, playing and experiencing poker, now after the grind it's great

This might be the cause of all the players limping to players that are sitting out.

Playing drunk 🥴 lol depends on how drunk and how good you are. I can drink alot and play at a casino no problem. At home online drunk nope no good. I love having drinks and playing cards at the casino I play the same and people often play me different because I'm drunk 🥴. I win more due to this. Now of course there's been the odd time I've messed up due to being drunk as well but thats rare

Hahahahah, one time in my table a player checked until showdown against a sitting out player and lost the pot!

I'm not a big fan of playing poker while drunk. If you're playing too scared when sober, being drunk can help get rid of them. But the danger is great that you play too risky. When you're drunk you don't care if you lose money. You're bluffing when you shouldn't and making unnecessary mistakes. This can cost you a lot of money, more than you earn. When you bluff when you shouldn't, you often end up losing big pots. If you bluff and it works, you only win small.

Bad idea... I tend to gamble more when I'm tipsy, and poker is not a gambling game. If you feel like "playing aggressively", as you put it, makes you a better player, you should implement it cleverly into your general sober strategy. However, playing drunk, aggressive, loose with your chips, bluffing, and acting on an impulse will probable only make it seem like you are a good player short-term, mostly just while luck is on your side.
