I think smoking only hurts your if u let it. If i do it I only do a little at a time and stay focused on the game.

Some people can stay perpetually high and just be on the same level they are on when they're sober albeit some differences, for me if I haven't smoked in a long time (like now) I'll have just a puff and be on a nice level with some come down in 2hours + but if I was to smoke a joint on the intense weed you have in the states, I would be laughed at lol.

Obviously we are not equal, in my case it is impossible for me to concentrate and play while I use those means, they scatter my concentration instead of plunging it into a good game

It would be silly to assume that there aren't fish out there who are so bad that being under the influence doesn't hurt there game, and on the positive side they aren't gonna get any better so until they have to quit poker so they can afford to keep buyin the stupid makin smoke, enjoy harvesting them.

My experience is it helps slow you down as far as putting in chips unnecessarily. Though on the other hand it makes me lazy around the house. So take it for what it's worth. A messy home will bring you down just as fast as bleeding chips

Stoned?

It can if you are distracted by anxiety or chronic pain. However, the dosage needs to be of a reasonable amount. If you are so high that you cannot think properly, then your performance will suffer.

I do not think that it is a good idea to smoke weed and go play poker in a casino or in good tournament events, I sometimes use weed but only with my friends in the company for a good rest but not more!

Ha I always play stoned or drunk or both! Helps me remain centered. But usually just one drink per hour and a toke or two while im on break. Dont wnnt to get too crazy!

Depending how it affects you some are different than others, I myself smoke everyday and it does not impair me, nor does it affect my thinking, or decision making, it helps my aches and pains, and helps me concentrate more on the game and my opponents, but to each their own.

LOL Seriously though...... I Have a Home Games Club on PokerStars called "Sweet Meat" And I would Welcome, with Open Arms any one who wants to Drink and Smoke while playing there... haha

I'll even set up some Real Money Tables as well as the regular MTT's... WoW I guess It would be great fun, testing the hypothesis...

i have weed a lot and daily.. sativa type helps focus so its good for me in school.. i have tried it in poker but end up focus on wrong thing hahaha... when this happen:
i was attempting to determine which colour felt the best .. i timed out my AA.. after that no more lol
but seriously it's all about amount, as it is with alcohol, so whatever works best for you

smoking good? well its good for me xD it keeps me patient and thinking things through. I find it provides a good break opportunity every now and again too when im out at the casino forces me to go get some air every now and again

I'm not a fan of drugs...but I've noticed that a little beer helps shut off ambient thoughts sometimes so that you can concentrate....problem is there is no such thing as a shot of beer lolololol

Pot smoker from the Netherlands here

I smoke weed for over 15 years now. I think it have some advantages and some disadvantages. For example I see myself as good in calculating my chances ( math head ) but I tend to get angry after a few bad beats. If I smoked some weed before I get less angry and more easy get calmed down again. On the other hand you`re focus of-course goes down and you get a looser in game playing. Which can lead to horrible mistakes that will make you think long about it

I always think then dude pay attention you stoney hehe. But if you wanna have the experience I would suggest dropping you`re bets way down for a week and just try
