Poker is a game of skill. People will look at one hand and say see how unlucky I was. Yes you may have seen you 66 lose to AK. You were favored to win and was unlucky to be on the losing side that hand but its one hand and poker is a long term game. The problem is poker is also a game of math and doing your best to make sure the offs are more in you favor than not.

Against mediocre players you need luck... against good players with skill.

Not that it is necessarily true but imagine a factor of 50/50 where the variables (luck and skill) can be mobile (eg 30/70 , 60/40...) depending on the day, against certain players, choice of spot. .. etc

Basically, you need 3 things to win! Good hands, Knowledge and Luck! So I think all 3 are needed to win a pot or even a tournament! It depends on a lot of things to take the pot. Mostly from your hand, the flop, and of course your opponent's play! Some people can be bluffed, but some people can't bluff! Of course, all of this is irrelevant if the opponent has a good hand, because in that case you may trap yourself with your bluff...
