Imagine that you need good hands to win a pot. But pretending to have good hands to win a pot is where all the skills come from.

even with all that skill, I'll still depend on the hand my little buddy will be holding.
Reading helps a lot too.

Poker is, of course, a game of skills. But without luck in poker it is impossible to win.

Poker is a game of skill, not chance. It's easy to see why most people think poker is a game of chance: if you're dealt five cards that have the same rank and suit, you have no idea what kind of hand you'll get until after you've made your best five card hand with those five cards. You don't know what your opponent will have or what his or her best hand will be.

Poker is a game of skill. People will look at one hand and say see how unlucky I was. Yes you may have seen you 66 lose to AK. You were favored to win and was unlucky to be on the losing side that hand but its one hand and poker is a long term game. The problem is poker is also a game of math and doing your best to make sure the offs are more in you favor than not.

poker is a game of skill and luck, in the long run skills will influence us more to be profitable, and we will have luck in unexpected situations.

Against mediocre players you need luck... against good players with skill.

Not that it is necessarily true but imagine a factor of 50/50 where the variables (luck and skill) can be mobile (eg 30/70 , 60/40...) depending on the day, against certain players, choice of spot. .. etc

SOMETIMES IT'S VERY LUCKY, EVEN IF YOU CAN READ YOUR OPPONENT'S STEPS IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO GET 100% OF THE PLAYS.

A game of skill and math, in which luck has some minor part to play but not decisive

Definitely more skill than luck. But luck is also part of it.

I think I see this question often on the forum. It seems to me that skill plays an important role, but without luck you will not last long.

Skill plays a very important role. But those who say that luck is not important are often eliminated from tournaments by more successful players) Karma

Basically, you need 3 things to win! Good hands, Knowledge and Luck! So I think all 3 are needed to win a pot or even a tournament! It depends on a lot of things to take the pot. Mostly from your hand, the flop, and of course your opponent's play! Some people can be bluffed, but some people can't bluff! Of course, all of this is irrelevant if the opponent has a good hand, because in that case you may trap yourself with your bluff... :)

winning a pot depends as much on the hand as it does on luck and the ability you have to play for that pot

The opponent matters more than your ability, because you can play the hand perfectly and not succeed in winning. My advice is to choose your opponent correctly.

I believe that 70% skill and 30% luck mean that skill is ahead of luck.

If I was lucky I would win more often but it won't work that way! So you need luck in any case!
