Is poker a game as stressful as it seems?

That is very true. Alot of people, including me have to make every chip count. Whenever im close to the end of tournament i always think about just trying to make it to the $ and not try and actually win.

Stressed at pokwr!?

Circumstances always determine heart rate vs excitement. If stress is an issue for you don't be stressed. It's much easier to play when your having fun and a good time,a winning.

actually it's been quite stressful for myself. I lost quite a money in poker because playing before able to play in good terms. so I think it's better to study a lot before you try to play with lot of money, or even before trying to play with real money.

in my case the stress comes because of ridiculous moves that end up working out, not because your opponent is good and wanted to do that simply because he got shot in the dark and ends up harming you in the tournament

some times yes, but mostly i ignore it

yes, if i wont win that mtt or if dum player raises all the time

i think with experience decreases, i don't stress that much anymore.

I think it depends from what mode youre in. Sometimes I'm in a good flow and then it's not stressful at all, but sometimes when u lose much it is very!

It can be a roller-coaster, it depends. If you don't care about losing the money its just fun! If you don't invest much and you are content playing free rolls and micos and play as a hobby no problem. Otherwise, there is a lot of variance so it can be stressful.

yes it sure is thats why i have no finger nails left. that is why i had to buy aprox 6 mouses for my pc ,because they break when you throw them at the wall.

Poker is very stressful. The bet size doesn't bother me, that's why you have bankroll management. If the stakes are causing you stress then you are playing too high of a limit. I always turn off chat.

Hi everyone

First of all I warn you that this is a rookie comment. Particularly poker does not stress me, although I recognize that bad beats or "bad luck" sometimes make some outburst out of my mouth haha.
In my case I play a little in the morning and a little at night after work (I'm a taxi driver) and, compared to the daily struggle with the traffic of the streets, poker is a haven for me, beyond winning or losing (I guess over time I will earn more than I will lose).

I always have chat muted, not because it annoys me or stresses me it's just an additional distraction I don't want while I'm playing.

The key to sustained to success is not playing games where the bet sizes stress you. If you're fine with using $500 but $1000 will stress you out, don't play games where the 1k loss is possible.

The biggest thing to avoiding stress in poker is accepting that you WILL lose, that you WILL run bad, and that nobody is conspiring against you. You have to be fully honest with yourself and be incredibly self aware so that you don't blame everything else for losing and constantly try to improve.

Poker can be very stressful if you let it be. Playing outside of your bankroll can add to this or using money you can't afford to play poker with. Just take a deep breath and don't let it bother you, take a break if you need to and go for a walk outside.

poker can get stressfull if you let it, i play poker for simple fun and to win some cash along the way, if i find im on a loosing streak along the way i will take a break for a cpl of days so i do not stress, keep the mind fresh and the cards fresher,

For sure it can be, especially if you can,t earn enough money and keep loosing time after time. For sure, if you play poker only in your free time just a few hours a week and most of the games are risk free freerolls, everyting must be ok.

You have to be born for poker. Then you will feel comfortable in the game. After all, you play under the pressure of an opponent and you push on someone yourself. This is not constant in normal life. A person is trying to get out of this situation into his comfort zone. This is the specificity of the game of poker.

Hello, Everyone! I'm decided a long time ago, that chat will off permanently, that nothing interfered a game and my concentration. Therefore with this is all OK! That regard a stress in Poker, I think, the stress is part of a game, the people like to play and contest,

Poker is a mental game, I don't think it's stressful for players like us who aren't professional just fans. Professional players must have another thought since they live on what they earn in tournaments, it is their way of life. hug
