It's not easy to live on poker, poker professionals or champions make their fortune winning big tournaments such as participating in a world poker championship with a prize of 10 million dollars and you win with that you live from poker... relatively you have to look for competitions and tournaments to make a living from it. I prefer to be in amateur mode, winning ever bigger tournaments and winning money with poker.

there are undoubtedly people who turned poker into a profession, but the thing is that out of 100 people who want to do this, only a few succeed, if you have such an idea and want to turn poker into a professional activity, I wish you success.

I think poker is a little different from working in a factory because there's a salary, but if you take a deal, it's a poker job

Of course it is a job since you invest your time in learning and having more knowledge about poker, it is the result of doing things well, if that is added to the fact that you can apply that knowledge at the tables it would be great, I think good afternoon friend greetings

For me the answer is no . I am not even considered a reg , soooo....... To turn pro and start playing 24/7 is a distant odd or possibility for me , or even impossible at all .

it certainly can be a job. Since as long as it makes a profit, that is something that can only work for professionals and semi-pros who dedicate themselves full time to playing and studying poker. but for the vast majority it has only been a hobby to which they dedicate a few hours and from time to time.

Of course, you can play poker instead of working with certain skills. It's easier to do this if you join some fund.

Yes it is possible. However, do not build high expectations. If you consider poker as a job, then you have to spend a lot of time on it, especially at the initial stage. And it won't always work out the way you want.
Depending on what kind of requests someone has for life ...

For those who need a couple of hundred dollars to live, they can consider playing at micro-limits as a job ))

And at the micros, you don't have to be a great professional to consistently have double-digit win rates at a distance.

Micro limits are approximately from NL2 to NL25

For more than 10 years I have not worked, but I live off the game ...

I think that any goal can be achieved in poker, if you have the desire and money.

Probably possible, but you need to have talent, if you don’t have it, then you won’t be able to do anything.:)

Only a very small percentage of people that have ambitions of becoming pro will make it. Poker on television has glamorized the game, but the reality is, most of those players you see on TV are staked. Many other "online" pros have other avenues of income, like podcasts, youtube channels, blogs.

There are many blogs online by pros, ex pros, etc explain in detail the pros & cons of relying on poker as there sole income. The biggest problems that many of them talk about, is variance, "non existent" lifestyle and it is not a guaranteed income, that can in turn affect how you pay the Bill's, tax is also a problem in certain counties.

you play against the game itself, hence the mistrust increases when you end up losing winning hands by losing hands, and that playing right.
I don't know what games you're playing but when I play it's against other people, like myself who are playing. I don't play against the poker site. IF I chose to play the casino games (ie. blackjack) then I'd be playing vs. the site... but I never do this... it's not poker.

When I watch some of the online tournaments, I recognize many of the screen names and know who those people actually are. (i'm sure they know many more than I do)

Of course, poker can be your job if you approach the game as a professional and disciplined player. There is no doubt that there are players for whom online poker is the main source of income. But this is hard, routine and daily work.
