Look, I've played several tournaments. Poker is a mind sport, but for those who don't study, they can't achieve their goals sometimes and it's necessary to understand that there are variations in the game, so you have to have a bankroll management anyway...

I think Bankroll management is one of the most underrated topics in poker.
If you really want to achieve something, you absolutely need a good bankroll management.
Invest a lot of time in playing and gaining experience and invest a lot of time in hand analysis and studying =)

This is the way :p

My whole bankroll management is $10 in different rooms, and then I started earning money through freerolls, casinos and sports betting, I don’t invest anything else, I play smart.

Totally Agree!
It was only last Monday, I was watching the Sunday Millions Final Table, when one of the commentators Nick Walsh, said "Bankroll Management is very important especially in small stakes Poker. And when players say they only play for Fun! Well it is no Fun if your Bankroll is in the Negative".

That is why my Bankroll is always in the Positive and I always play for Fun! Sure I have losing streaks, everybody does! But the important thing to me is to strictly follow a Bankroll Management Theory that works for me and then I can afford to wait out the losing streak, until I am in the black again making a profit!

When the Fun Stop's, STOP!

This is so accurate. To many people don't use proper bankroll management and that's one big problem. a smart player could play for a very long tome if they just followed proper bankroll management.

What do you study? There are very few people on TV that got to the top starting from the bottom. Most of these poker pros were already wealthy to begin with. They have money to burn. This whole hype around poker is to make naive people believe that they can be Daniel Negreanu one day, suck them into the casino rooms and squeeze the last penny from them. Yes you might be a natural genius of some sort, and even that does not guarantee you anything.
Just study something that will actually make you money, study the coding language or something. You and everyone who takes poker seriously because they think they will become a millionaire are chasing a dream… the odds are nobody on this forum will ever win wsop, nobody as in 0 people.

The math of the game is the basis, then the emotional state.
Sure, it's a mind sport, but without knowing the basics, having a strong mind means nothing.
If this is the point you wanted to reach.

I think so. But there is still the probability side that is out of our control.

It is certainly a mental sport, but it is also a game of chance, as there are situations where the player has to be on a lucky day, otherwise defeat is certain in situations where he has up to a 95% chance of winning.

It's a game of chance, but if you manage your bankroll correctly, you have more chances of success in the long term

You wrote a lot of good comments and there was truth in every post! So, in summary, it is really important to choose the right bankroll limit and a specific game type. Also, let's be clear that even if you learn a book about "correct" poker playing from the outside, and of course at the given table, you use your knowledge at the right time, there are still factors that can cause you to lose, because let's not forget that poker is also a a game of chance, which also has "luck" in its name.....so even if you are in one of the best minds, the bad beats will still come! However, quick situation recognition and the strength of our cards can significantly increase our chances!

Hello guys!

Many people believe that poker is a game of chance, but the truth is that poker is a mind game that involves strategy, skill, logic and decision making. While there is an element of luck involved in the game, the players' ability to make informed decisions is what determines the outcome of the game.

One of the most important skills in poker is the ability to read other players' facial expressions and emotions. The game of poker involves carefully watching the other players to determine whether they are bluffing or really confident in their hands. Also, players need to be able to control their own emotions so as not to give signals to other players.

Another important skill is the ability to calculate probabilities and make informed decisions based on available information. Players need to understand the odds of getting certain hands and use that information to decide whether to bet or not. They also need to consider other players' moves and the possibility of bluffing to make the best decisions possible.

Furthermore, poker players must be able to read the table and adapt their strategy according to the dynamics of the game. This could include changing the way a player plays their hands, the amount of money they bet, or even choosing when to play or fold.

In summary, poker is a mental game that involves cognitive skills such as the ability to read other players' facial expressions and emotions, calculate odds and make informed decisions based on available information, adapt strategy to the table environment and control one's emotions. . While there is an element of luck involved in the game, skilled players are able to minimize this factor and consistently win based on their mental ability. Therefore, it is important for players to understand that poker is not a game of chance, but rather a game of skill, strategy and the mind.

I think the mind is the main part which limit my constantly success. At first if i in a bad mood or trying to level in crazy hands against one player i could loose lots of chips or ending the tourney. Also i think im good in other poker formats like spin and go or kick off on Pokerstars, this games has a high variance and my bankroll is not high enough to protect a badrun in those games. Also im not so competetive to use time for studying spots or use pokertools to improve the game.

If you have played only a few tournaments and you have an understanding of such a concept as bankroll management, then my friend, I can say that you have good prospects and great potential :)
The one who studies will always have an advantage. Good luck.
