In part, poker is a sport, because if chess is a sport, why was it not also poker, but it prevails that it is nevertheless gambling.

I consider poker a sport, since abilities and challenges work our minds, requiring control and skill. A mental sport!

In my opinion, poker is not a sport, never has been and never will be. Poker is a game of chance, and we are players. Poker and sport certainly have some things in common, but so do many other activities.
