YES!

The main thing is to set a loss limit and STICK TO IT. Its very tempting not too when your able to redeposit but you need to!

If you think you're suffering from a gambling addiction make sure to use an service most EU countries and the UK definitely have hotlines that can help if you are struggling financially because of addiction.

Play safe keep it fun

In my opinion, a very addictive game is even dangerous if you spend more on poker than you can afford, which can bring you a lot of problems. It may be the hardest thing to admit to yourself that you are addicted to something and can't control it.

I noticed that in the past few days I’ve been really wanting to play, but unfortunately my laptop is currently broken, in the mean time I study the game and watch streams. Do you play a lot and do feel the need to play?
Yes, there is a need for a game. My laptop also broke down, I haven't played for two weeks. I had to buy a new laptop, one of these days I will start playing again.:)

I feel the need to play poker is incredibly strong, because I depend on the funds that I will win. I don't play a lot 4-6 hours a day.

It all depends on the individual, Drugs, Alcohol, Gambling, everything and anything in life can become addictive if that is in your persona. I am I suppose addicted to playing poker, but not addicted to money, so I play for different reason's.
Money comes and goes, and if you hold it in high esteem, you will get addicted to it and do anything to get it. but Poker does not have to be about money! Players, play for all kinds of reason's, I play for the thrill of the all-in situation, the chance to be number one, The Top Dog, it has nothing to do with money.
This is perhaps why I prefer to play Tournament poker over Cash games. It has never been one of my driving ambitions to be rich, I have my Wife and Family and I am already rich beyond my dreams, so money has never been my driving force to play Poker.
If you can get this kind of attitude to playing, Poker becomes fun and more of a hobby, rather than a means to escape the Rat Race. I play for the simple pleasure of the game and if I win cash, from free-rolls etc, I don't go mad and think I can do better than this and start raising my buy-ins to make more money, far from it.
I stay within my limits so I can continue to play, when I want, and play for free even when the buy-in are all paid for by my winnings, Poker then becomes self financing and in my mind every game is a free-roll,
Sure I like to raise my buy-ins occasionally, but not to win more money, but I am gradually raising the standard of players I play against.

When the fun Stops, STOP!
(it is that simple)

Poker is a game that captivates many people, it is not in vain that there are so many poker rooms and tournaments are held in different cities of the world, but it cannot be compared to gambling such as roulette and sports betting.

Hi

Hi azgeda. Yes of course poker can be real addicting. Back when I first started playing, it would be 12 hours or more. I really loved poker so much, if I didn't have money, I would play free poker. I'm really glad that is over, and now I can take it or leave it, and get some sleep at night. GL to you and hope you get your computer fixed.

I wouldn't say that poker has ever felt addicting for me, more just something I am passionate about.

I think it is. And I think I am very addicted to it. But I enjoy the game and I have the time, so it's okay.

I have spun my bankroll from freerolls many times because I like the process of the game. To play and win at poker, you need to love this game. Otherwise, nothing will work out. And you also need to constantly learn.

And by the way, yes, poker is addictive, but if you can play it is a pleasant addiction.

Yes. Poker is very interesting game. When we add a possibility of winning money, it increases our addiction.

For many, it may be addictive because it is a game of cards and bets! I see it more as a sport, a chess game that you must be lucky a certain percentage

Depends on the individual. Anything can become an addiction. Buying sneakers and posting conspiracies can be an addiction. Do i think poker is addicting, of course not. To some it could be.

Yeah Poker is definitely addicting, just like video games and netflix and facebook and all of that is addicting. The danger is when you combine Poker addiction with horrible bankroll management and also you don't have a clear separation between bankroll and liferoll. That's when Poker can ruin lives.

Yeah, I think so. And I think I am addicted. But it's not the worst addiction out there and, if you're careful, it costs less than most other addictions.

in my opinion, poker is not an addiction, nor is it an addiction, if someone loves to play, why would you play and even make money with it by the way: P and I consider myself addicted: P I just like to play :)

Anything can become addictive, it all depends on your own personality, if you like something so much you need more and more of it then you are addicted to it.
Alcohol, Drugs, Cigarettes, even Sex, can become addictive, the important thing is to realise that your are becoming addicted to something, and stop it, before it hurts you or the people around you.
If it does not harm you or the people around you, what is the problem? I used to drink heavily, but stopped before it became a problem, now I enjoy a couple of beers occasionally, but never to the point where I am legless and suffer blackouts, which sometimes used to happen.
Poker is a game, and like any other game can become an obsession but if you can limit yourself to playing for free, where is the harm?

When the fun Stops, STOP!
(I do regularly)
