In a chess game, we immediately understand when, where, and how we screwed up. Mistakes are quickly punished.
In poker, the right or wrong moves are less obvious. You can play perfectly and still get punished.
You can play terribly and get rewarded :)))

It's almost similar, like in actions how to act, study the player to have patience to be able to act right and not commit to wrong moves, there's only one but in poker you win more and the profit is bigger!

There is totally different kind of math in chess and poker. Poker is all about statistics and probability - best areas of math :) I have tried to learn chess for a fevlw times, but never suceeded. What is similar is that in both games you have to know some patterns and some basic strategies.

yes I think it's possible and vice versa, why not :), just that chess is not well known, it's a bit hidden:)
