Hi all!
It would be interesting to know are you still keeping to discover something new for yourself again and again in the Poker after you won one of the large tournaments or achieved significant prize/income in the game? Are you reading the books, looking streamers etc when you succeed? Thanks.

To study and improve the skills in poker one of aspects of success. Books should be read too as in poker not only practice but also the theory is important. As one famous person spoke: "To study, to learn and to study once again". Success in a game.

Discoveries in poker specifically for me occur daily. And this is due primarily to the fact that the poker game as such changes very quickly and to remain winning, well, or at least not a losing player, it is necessary to constantly self-improve your game due to new information, analysis of your mistakes, training. Your yesterday's knowledge of poker, which made you a winning player, will no longer be relevant in the same way after a while.

Never Stop Learning

I was stuck in a rut, playing poker with the basics of what I had read several years ago. Many years ago I was playing online, live home games, and in casinos. Then the online dropped off and the casino visits slowed way down.
For some reason, in the last two months, I developed a renewed interest in improving my game. I bought another book focused on the games I prefer, and began studying again. It is not as easy at my age. Things slip through my memory like a hot knife through butter. But, I am determined to get better.
I restarted my account with PokerStars PokerSchool and began playing their league freerolls. As soon as Cardchat gives me access, I will be playing their games too. My budget precludes investing in an online bankroll, so I will have to build it pennies at a time from freerolls.

Keep reading, watching videos, practicing, everyone. You will need it to keep up to this old granddad.

I am trying to study regularly. Every day I watch a video, and I read different articles. I feel like my skills improve every day.

I think in terms of reading, diversity is the key. Develop your understanding through as many angles as possible. I own books by Caro, Snyder, Hansen, Negreanu, Sklansky, Harrington, and the list goes on.

If I win somewhere in the tournament or in the cash game, then I just keep playing my favorite games, sometimes I watch the streams of the players I'm subscribed to and watch a lot of useful poker materials to become better in the game!

I try to constantly learn and improve my game. Today the average level of poker players is higher than in the past mainly because of the easy availability of books, sites, streams and everything else which players can use to improve their game. Maybe 10 years ago it was enough to know basics to be ahead of the crowd but this is not valid anymore. If you want to be a good player you should never stop learning.

Hi.
About one year, I play regularly. I also try to study, read books, watch video of poker professionals. But I can tell you that concentrating on the result helps me the most.
Good luck.

Good question, i think with poker is like with everything, you can increase or decrease your skills, you can not stay in this same place, move forward or backward, there is no stop in learning.

Always learning, trying to improve the game.

Reading, checking what is working and what is not.
