If you take on poker as a job your whole life will suffer, with no guaranteed results.

You will have to put in 12 hours a day, 7 days a week at playing and learning.

Your social life will be close to non existent.

If you take on poker as a serious hobby, it, like all hobbies, will create a platform on which you can build. You can learn how to keep pace with the game first off. I'm thinking 5 hours a day, 5 days a week might be to much, but that is not far from accurate (for me anyway).

As a hobby, there is no pressure on me showing much of a $$ gain. If I had a bigger steady income, I could even consider a net loss of $100 a month as 'entertainment'.

The truth do more for distraction and diversion, if I can earn some of the money finishes so be it, but I think I am far from saying it for work, I have so much fun playing online poker because I think it's my only hobby, greetings to all and do not forget that it is always a good day to smile

You can do anything for a living and earning loads of money is appealing for sure, but its a hard road and in any sport or profession people succeed and fail !! Give it a shot more fail tho. Harsh reality
