In this life, I never put money first; for me, the work I do is always more important, I am for the idea.) Poker has been a part of my life for 14 years, for me it is a philosophy. You can think of poker as just a game, but in reality poker is much more than a game, I think many people will understand what I mean. It's a combination of many factors: skills, experience, psychology, self-control and a little luck. Of course, I am very happy when I win money, but for me this is not the main thing. For me, the main thing is the process itself and enjoying the game.

Hobby, activity, entertainment, out of control gambling addiction, all are ,but tis not a sport. Having to be able to raise your arm & wave to get the waitress to bring you another jack & coke does not make it a sport.

I don't think poker is a sport, because it's more about luck, you often lose with AA against bad hands, that's not sports.

For me it's a way of having fun in my free time and of course if I earn some money it's even better. In sports I think you need physical movement and not just thinking and inspiration.

I think poker can't be a sport because the probability is really importand during the hands sometimes. It's not always badly if the player has enough skills but i think this reason is importand enough.

This question can be interpreted in two ways.

What do I think about Poker in general? For me it's a game, I don't consider it a sport. But I also don't consider chess a sport, for example.

In my life, what is poker? Not sport and not just about money. For me it is a fun, challenging and exciting hobby.

in my vision poker is more towards money than sport because poker's primary outcome is money. but sports haven't directly involved money. if money is involved in the action can't be considered a sport

For me it is never about the Money! I can play for Fun money Chips just as much as real money in a Cash game. The most important point in playing Poker is being actively involved in the game, I played every week in my Local Pub buying in for £5 to play in the League game, and to me that was a small price to pay, to play a game I enjoy. I didn't mind busting out of the game winning nothing but points for being on the Final Table.
Some people pay out a small fortune to watch 22 grown Men kick a ball around in a Field for 90 minutes, I find it completely Boring, However saying that I used to love playing Football with my Friends, Watching it was never my kind of Pleasure.

Personally I take it as a hobby not as my bread earner, but we would be lying to ourselves if we said that it's just a sport. Poker would be way less fun if we played just for pebbles.
