Poker is a recreational game for me. I find it very intriguing and entertaining. Ofcourse, making money makes it more fun, but that seldom happens.

I don't play competitively or for financial gain.

Poker is money but not sports poker is fun first of all after you have already made money and everything else is important for you to like the game and have fun because how can you play what you don't like

In spain the goverment says it is a sport and therefore you have to pay tax on your winnings in tournaments....

Think EPT Barcelona 2024 is not going to take place.

I have to slightly disagree here.
Poker is a mindgame yes, but it can also get physically challanging. Be it a very long session or simply a very stressfull one, your body shows similiar symotons to running a marathon. Heartrate, sweating etc. That makes poker fullfill all requirements to be a sport.

If a person comes with big money, he also expects huge gains. It's a gamble.
Recreational is a sport.
It's not the mother who curses the child because she gambles, but because she's trying to get it out by gambling.
