I've seen it as well, it was a pretty good movie but not really as much poker in it as I thought/ would have liked there to be.

Steve McQueen as the Cincinnati Kid is the best poker movies ever made. Rounders is a close second with the Stu Unger Story coming in third in my book.

Yeah I like Cin Kid, Rounders, California Split, Stu Ungar Story, and some of the others mentioned.

Also the move called "The Sting" is pretty good, only 1 card scene I think but still about gambling/scamming lol.

Did anyone mention, I think it's called.."Big Hand for a Little Lady"?

Edit- and can't wait for Rounders 2!

Watched Lucky You the other day.. bad poker movie.. decent chick flick, though. Overall, it was okay. I'd give it a 5/10.

A classic for me is 007 casino royale.
one of the best films with surreal shots.
Worth attending to much.

Was it called Tilt, and maybe on espn? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilt_%28TV_series%29

I'm curious to know, cuz I've had HBO my whole life, and never seen it. I Google Tom Sizemore and HBO poker series, but couldn't find anything, and tried a few other searches that returned noting... until i searched "series about playing poker in Vegas" and that wiki link came up.

Seems there was only 1 season (9 episodes) of that TILT series, so dunno if it's any good or not.

Joe Yankers is a decent gambling movie... It about craps not poker but Phil Ivey helped finance it so it somewhat has a poker connection...

American pay-per-view channel. Stands for Home Box Office. It costs something like $12 or $13 per month to watch movies that are on DVD (or BluRay). Plus they have a bunch of original programming. The biggest probably being the Sopranos when it was on the air.

Just watched Casino Royale last night.. I'd call that a poker movie. At least the majority of the plot had poker involved.... it was good.. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Excellent Bond movie, terrible poker movie IMO :p

Indeed good Bond movie the poker is totally unrealistic though beyond any imagination.

Ridiculous 1million preflop betting rounds lol and some daft 100+ million pot?:p

mmm..

Anyway, the movie itself is good - just not a poker one.

I'm looking forward to rounders2 though.

My favourite movie is twenty-one the black jack cop.
It's really interesting and amazing in the way they make money. It's worth it!

I really liked Rounders, thought the Poker scene in the Bond movie was silly.
