Sometimes its good to accept, that poker has also alot to do with own character and i believe that as long as you feel happy and well with that game you should never stop it.

Poker life

It is to me. We play a home game every Saturday night and I really look forward to it. It's tournament style and the weeks winner brings the food for the next week. You get a lot of different dishes and some are really good. The chili and cornbread last night was the bomb. A few cocktails and a lot of socializing makes for a great evening, all brought together by poker.

I personally play for entertainment. The money is secondary when I'm sitting at the tables. Years ago when I was starting out I played for the money, I did fairly well however after awhile I was not enjoying the game anymore and I could see my progression slowing down. That's when I took a large break, and came back about a year later with only fun in mind.

It is now a significant part of my life. A very important part, because I'm trying to make a living out of it. We have a fairly high unemployment in Kazakhstan (much higher than official statistics) and employers prefer to hire younger workers. So far I'm not doing very well, but I'm making an effort to learn a good game. But this is also quite costly.
