Hi.
I personally know at least 8 drivers who play poker, and I also know three mechanics who also play poker. What do you think this has to do with? :D
Good luck.

That's fine, I just wondered if it was my circle of friends or other people found a prevalence of IT workers. They don't - that's cool.

The best local players I know are both programmers. I think they have the right sort of mathematical mind for good poker.

People of different professions have different hobbies. I just think that poker is a great hobby that will suit almost everyone.

Among my friends of poker players, no IT. They mainly work in areas where manual labor is hard.

My comrades have practically no experience in the game, I advise you to study, I see how work for me is poker reality.

Honestly, I did not notice such nuances. I work in construction and know quite a few professionals in my profession who are also interested in poker.

My friends work in completely different fields of work, but we all love poker and go offline in our free time, none of them work in IT. Once I was driving with a taxi driver and he was driving playing poker with his phone.

I completely disagree with this interpretation of the question, it's just that each person has their own social circle.

I work as a sales manager and also play poker in the evenings. A lot of my friends also play sometimes after work.

I know 5 semi-professionals from germany and there is not one working with IT. One is a owner of a small 24h newspaper & tobacco store, two of them are mechanics in a car garage and the rest is actually without employment...

I’m in consulting and all of my friends who crush poker are quants and work at hedge funds. I suppose their strong understanding of statistics and game theory helps a lot,

I would not say so, among my friends who play poker there are people of different professions, there are almost no IT specialists, mainly builders, salesmen, economists and others.

Count me in on the IT side but I unfortunately don't know of many poker players that are in IT or as far as that goes in any specific profession.

In general, the profession of players does not necessarily have to correlate with their hobby. Some like chess, some poker, some unemployed, and some in the army. Therefore, I believe that our profession and our hobby is a conscious choice of each individual.
