I don't specifically see poker-IT job as a pattern, but I think a taste for math could be a generalization. :)

Personally, I work as a lawyer, but the professions related to mathematics and IT will definitely increase your chances on the way to the coveted winnings.

I’m no IT guy I’m a plasterer but playing with IT guys certainly helps as regards navigating the software:)
