Solid play at the MTT's:
1) Play tight and aggressive
2) Learn to thin down the table to HU
3) Learn how to play the dreaded middle pairs
4) Learn when to shove
5) Learn how to recognize betting patterns
6) Learn to identify other players and how to exploit them
7) Learn to make effective continuous bets and how to defend cbets when the other person is
bluffing.
8) Learn how to effectively play from the blinds.
8 very simple and very basic concepts. I would guess that most players we are going to run into, especially at the lower/micro limits do NOT have a handle on these concepts.
I am not going to worry about win/lose ratios at the moment. It is fun making money, but at this stage of my development if I learn to make good decisions the money will take care of itself.
