Is there something we can call you besides Poopy? I am really struggling with that lol.

I would say call him Kevin, but maybe he should answer it.

He is back online at 2pm .. Dressed up for the final run to 300k vpp before midnight.

He needs about 1300vpp/hour to beat the prop bet!

Goodluck on your mission pokerpoopy.

Got a couple of questions for you, because you're short stacking what is your bankroll to sustain the swings like? Or do you not wish to disclose that sort of information? Obviously the swings aren't going to be as big as opposed to if you was fully stacked.

I hear people make a profit by grinding a massive amount like yourself even if they're break even players, because the VIP programme is good they can make a good amount of profit just in bonuses etc.

I visited your blog today and you showed your graphs. You're down $5k in terms of profit yet with the bonuses and rakeback you're at $20k in overall profit if I'm not mistaken?

Therefore when people say "just break even and profit in rakeback" is worth it, but by the looks of it you could lose money at poker and still gain massive amounts of profit in rakeback/bonuses meaning mid/high stake players can actually lose a hefty amount ad be consistent losing players but the ridiculous amount of volume they put in gives them huge profits in rakeback!

That is quite sick in reality, a losing player potentially turned into a winning player through rakeback/bonuses or am I missing something?

Goodluck, keep up the pace - 300k vpp's in a single month is mind blowing.

FYI I just played about 700 hands on 50c/$1 cap and was earning 0.45 vpp/hand. They might take a little while to settle down now they're gonna become reg infested but even so they do seem to be better for the vpp's. It might be a win win for you poops!

One of my friends has played a small sample at 2/4nl cap. He said he was earning 1 vpp/hand. That is almost double the current rate at 20bb-50bb tables. If that turns out true, then my volume just got 1/2'd for the year :)

Doubt it's gonna be THAT much better rate, but we will see!

Goodluck, keep up the pace - 300k vpp's in a single month is mind blowing.

Bankroll is 5000 big bilnds. Soooo if I'm playing 5/10nl, it should be 5,000 x $10 = $50K. Anddd I'm still not sure about the swings not being as big as if I full stacked....I seemed to have massive variance in month 1, so we will see as the year progresses.

As for profit, I made ~$20K for month 1 total. That is pretty good considering I lost a whopping $17K at the tables ($13K loss at cash, $4k loss at SNGs). So, a losing player can DEFINITELY still profit at the tables if they put in massive volume.

The thing is, really, that I am a winning player when I don't play huge volume like I did. My goal is to be a winning player AND get in the volume. I am pretty certain that I will be able to do this, but it will take time, patience, hard work, and practice :)

When I keep the hours to 8 or less on the day, play at a somewhat decent pace, I am a winner. I mean if you look at my PTR page, you can see that I earned ~1.7ptBB/100 while fullstacking 1/2nl. That was while playing 16+ tables at a time, but at my own leisure. Makes a HUGE difference if you play when you want v.s. playing when you HAVE to.

Soooo you weren't missing anything and were spot on! If I break even for the month, I should earn $40-45K for the month. So in month 1, I found it much harder then I have planned and earned 1/2 that. I will make sure that I study and work on my game and my ability to get in massive volume so that I accomplish my goal.

I am contemplating whether I will be streaming live all the time like I had planned. I think I am not going to anymore because as soon as I started that, I started losing $ at the tables.

So I will come up with a new plan. I think that maybe I will do a "1 hour" a day JTV stream where I analyze hands or something like that so that I can help people get better, while still gaining some viewers for my PS pro goal.

OK!! Sorry so long a post, gl at the tables guys...hope you do better this month then I did in January :) (shouldn't be hard to not lose 17K :))

Poopy (call me whatever you want guys!)

Shame you aren't broadcasting again would loved to of seen it. Why you think you was losing money at the tables since you started streaming? I mean someone mentioned earlier on in the thread that you don't actually show yourself playing at the tables.

Did you grind from low limits or have always played good stakes and just had a good bankroll to start with? I missed your prop bet, what was it exactly? Good wagered money?

I'll let you get on!

ps: 28 days in feb so even more hours a day and I'm guessing it wont be the same prop bet or?

pps: It is even more sick to imagine that you could purchase 5 cars from pokerstars with FPP's by the end of the year if you complete the challenge!

As you know, I've been amazed at how you could play decently, keep up a running dialogue with everyone who shows up in the house and maintain your infectiously enthusiastic attitude. You've already become an inspiration to many people...so dedicated and so upbeat.

While I'm sure many of us will miss being a part of your daily action, you need to do what you need to do to attain your goal. Know that we're still here for you no matter what!

So I will come up with a new plan. I think that maybe I will do a "1 hour" a day JTV stream where I analyze hands or something like that so that I can help people get better, while still gaining some viewers for my PS pro goal.

Please let us know what time those will air. Another request, how about playing some of your great music in the background? I'll really miss that too. :D

I, like LarkMarlow, fond it amazing how you were able to play and respond to all the comments in chat.

If you want to still try streaming, maybe try streaming from a separate PC where you cant see the chat?

Another thing you can do is limit people to one comment in chat every minute or two. Don't know the command, but it is a feature that can be enabled in chat.

It was also amazing you were able to play from 10:30am Sat morning through Monday night 11pm with only 10-12 hours of breaks to sleep and such.

I don't usually follow NLHE threads, but I wish you luck and keep up the good attitude! Hope you remain a fixture here at CC. You certainly could teach a lot of valuable poker wisdom given your volume of experience at NLHE.

Poopy, no streaming sucks. :) Oh well, it was fun the last week or so and the 1 hour sessions will be pretty cool too. Too bad you couldn't crush the tables while doing the stream, that would have been great.

Anyway.. Good luck at the tables..:)

At first, poopy was just messing around and removed all the mods, besides me and johnboy, but he had planned on giving mods back their status later on.

Instead of doing that, I told him to get rid of all of the mods, besides one. The chat was getting full of green mod symbols and it was pretty annoying to look at. All we needed in the chat was one good mod, which was johnboy.

So, I didn't do anything bad to get demodded, if that's what you were thinking. :)

Alright guys, thanks again for your continued support in my quest here! I really appreciate it!

Still unsure what to do about live streaming...but we will get it back once again! So far, these are my 2 options:

1) Live stream everything as usual, but DO NOT look at the chat at all, and don't commentate about hands or all ins or anything. Just stream, and act like I am not. That sounds dull to me.

2) Do the 1 hour a night thing...maybe switch the time that it airs so that people of different time zones can all see some "episodes"? Maybe something like Mon/Wed/Fri is 7p EST....Tue/Thu/Sat is 10a Est...or something like that.

I'm open for suggestions guys! Whatever you think would be best, and most intereesting. The reason I think option 2 is best is because you guys will have my full attention during that 1 hour. However, the reason that option 1 might be best is because I will be streaming way more often.

Sooooooo that's it...started the month behind pace as usual, but I needed a semi-day off after tough January. Played only 4 hours yesterday earning 5K vpps and $900 EV dollars. (Actual lost me $1,500)

I was very happy with this start though, because EV is all that I truly care about. After playing 500K+ hands a month, actual and EV come out to about the same amount ~95% of the time. In addition, I felt very, very good about yesterdays session. Keeping my tables down to 20, and playing when I wanted made it fairly easy to play better. And also, no streaming made it 1,000x easier, which I didn't realize when I was streaming :)

GL at the tables today guys!

Poopy

Just dropped by to wish you well. Stopped by and watched you playing for a while a few days ago. I could not even think about playing so many tables at once. Very impressive. I wish you nothing but the best with your goals and will certainly be keeping an eye on things.
