I don't agree with you!!! It's about how you feel when you play poker! If you perceive poker as an exciting game just for fun, then, of course, it can't be a stable source of income!

I agree with poker is a fun game but it should never be a source of income and poker is large part gambling also large part skill

I don't know what happened, but you're a little negative about poker.
but poker is democratic and often allows players worse than you to receive rewards.
but if these people don't win, do you think they will continue?
I consider poker a game of losing, and only a well-prepared mind wins.
It's just my opinion.

i agree, you should not think you can make a living at it and invest a ton of money into poker. set a limit you are willing to lose and stick to it!

Without a doubt, if you play irresponsibly, then you can lose everything in poker, just like in any other gambling game. But thanks to freerolls and free tickets, with the right strategy, you can always have a small income, it will be a pleasant bonus from the game.

I'm amazed by how many answers are so much like your's here ^

What about the players who are making a living while playing poker? What about the ones who are grinding away at it like a full-time job 'online' and who are supporting themselves with it? And of course there's also others who are making a decent living at it (online)... and then even some others who are making BIG MONEY playing poker (online & Live).

So many of the comments on here seem very uneducated, un-informed. If you were to do some looking around, you'll find there are MANY winning players even in 2024.

Sort of agree with you. But there are people out there that make a living out of poker. Most good players though try get on the teaching wagon or some other way to not be 100% reliant on poker.

But if you sharkscope enough people you do see guys that have these steady graphs from left to right.

After researching what the best are doing sucks the fun out of it. Solvers are boring. Playing against humans is fun.

You just need to know how to manage your bankroll properly. For example, if PokerStars gives me a $0.50 Power Path Ticket for a few hands in cash every day, I'm in. And so every poker room has its own Challenges. Here on fulfillment of the Challenges I am always ready to invest in poker. For everything else I have freerolls. ;)

Playing poker professionally and being successful is for few. No one should give up everything to make a living from the game without first being a winner with a good sampling.

I don't agree with you. Poker has long been a reliable source of income for me. And it didn't happen because I had such a goal, it basically happened by itself. I just wanted to play and being a good player was my primary goal. And the money in my bankroll started to increase as a side positive effect :)

Playing freerolls and taking advantage such as cards chat promos and free tickets from poker social media wont make you rich but it will help with your total winnings with your own hard cash that you put in

Even in 2024 there are lots of soft games around. With a bit of study, its easy to turn poker into a side income. Expecting to turn pro and make a fortune is optimistic, but obviously it's possible, as there are lots of pros (its not easy though)

Well, with this logic, it’s better not to start playing poker at all, it will just be a pointless waste of time.

You can classify it as a game for players who have a high monetary power or just like the great players of the old days in Texas people left their houses to have fun In this sport that fascinates us, whatever path you want to follow, implementing as much study as possible can help you stay in the game.

I agree. I save money by not playing cash games. Cash games are very difficult to acquire money. I mostly play freerolls to get money to play tournaments.

once you become proficient at poker one of the hardest things to overcome is the house rake . that factor makes it really hard to actually make a living .
