I am not a cash game player by general rule, but once in a while I like to try it.
Was looking for a game the other night at micro level at Poker Stars and one table looked interesting so joined the waiting list of 2, me being number 2. Decided to watch the play and try to gauge the players.
A short time later, one player quit and the player before me joined the game. This table seemed to be playing good poker until the newbie (from Russia) came on and started jamming everytime his full stack. Anyway, after the 4th or 5th attempt, players who had been enjoying a very good game started to sit out until the whole table apart from the newbie sat out. With no one left to bet against, he left the table allowing me a seat and slowly the players seeing that I was there to play poker started to sit in and play again.
I have never seen this before, and thought it a very amusing way of saying to the guy, get lost, we are not intersted in playing your game.
