Selling play chips and the Ferguson Challenge

I don't usually play on Pokerstars because I do not like their freerolls. I do like the fact that they have micro limit games that Full Tilt does not. For this reason I want to get some money on Pokerstars, but since I am doing the Ferguson challenge, I cannot make a deposit. I have to start from zero.

That is when I heard about people actually selling the play money chips they have on Pokerstars for cash. This idea seemed silly at first, until I did some research on my own. It seems like a good way to build a bankroll without actually depositing any money.

Has anyone ever sold their play chips before? What was your experience like and who would you recommend? How long did it take you to earn $1M play chips on Pokerstars?

I'm trying to figure out if it is worth my time and effort to play for play money, or should i just stick to the Full Tilt freerolls.
