Show or Not Show

I prefer no show.

I think that when you show your hand, you give information for your opponents.

If you can to give the hand without show your hand, thiamin the best alternative.

But if you have a good opponent and you want to show respect for this opponents, you do a bet of correct during all hand, you can show some times. Or if you want to show that you bluff some times, this is your that you show.

Generally speaking it should be obvious not to show your cards but in some cases it could have tactical application. If you show a bluff you are more likely to get called the next Time you are betting, so if you see the opportunity to get away with a bluff and now your opponent is easily agitated, showing your cards could lead to a big payout by an angry opponent a couple hands down the road.

I very rarely show my hands to confuse the opponent

I newer show cards. Someone can Call and see my cards. If not we play next hand.

I also think that showing your cards is just silly.

Maybe it's stupid to show cards to your opponents but you can always change your strategy of the game after show. Showing cards is one of options which can toward you to win the game.

Sometime's I will show, especially when I make a good bluff, because the next time I bet in the similar way they will call expecting me to be bluffing again, when I am actually holding the "Nuts".
This is just another weapon in the Poker Arsenal, and I mean nothing personal to any individual player, but if you fall for it, I do apologize, It is soul destroying when it happens, but It is all part of the Game, Kill or be Killed, and only the strongest survive.
I have often done it, especially in Live games, even to close friend's and acquaintances, they usually accept it as my playing style, and can laugh it off with me, even though they are cursing me deep inside, for catching them out.
But that is Poker, and you have to put up with it, or stop playing.

Getting right towards the last card, i just either go all in if i know logically i will win the game, or just show a weaker hand

Showing Cards

I am almost always don't show my cards. It is not a smart play to give your opponents information about your game, your ranges and etc...
But I do show my cards sometimes to exploite my opponents.
For exemple if I play with some guy that tend to over fold, when I have value hand and he fold I will show it, to let him feel that he made the correct play, so later I can easily over bluff him off his top of his high end of his range.

Of course NOT SHOW. By showing your cards you can help your opponents discover your strategy.

I'm an auto mucker but sometimes I get an urge to show the table. I do love it when other people show, more info for me.

I rarely ever show cards,thats mostly because im not that good at poker,and i dot want people to see when i am bluffing or actually wining the pot.I only show my cards if im on a good roll,or maybe if im just feeling it,but thats only at tourneys.

Personally, I think it's bad etiquette to show a bluff. You won the hand move on. Makes you look like you never won on a bluff before. Bad form. I'll show once in a while usually when opening from SB to a fold preflop. Especially if I respect the player in BB. I like to keep up the appearance of always having it.

Obviously they're only going to show you when you're bluffed with nothing, nobody's going to show you a good pair when you're bluffed, that would be silly, really.

I do not show my cards, I do not consider it necessary.

I'm with you. I think they get it from Daniel Negreanu. A bunch of Daniel Negreanu wannabes. One of my favorite quotes of his is, "I should keep my mouth shut." Some flashers may think they're putting me on tilt figuring I'll want to get even and start playing poorly against them or something. Good luck on that one.

I purposely play on a site where all the players are anonymous and there is no chat. This way other players can't build info on me or my style of play. So why would I give away information on myself and style by flashing my cards?

I'm pretty sure ego has a lot to do with it some of the time. Haha, look at how I outplayed you. Yeah, I get outplayed a lot and I outplay others a lot. It's just part of the game and doesn't prove anything.

I remember one game in particular. My main game is $50 triple up SNGs. One player was continually flashing his cards when he outplayed someone. He seemed to get a thrill out of it. I had 7k in chips. He had 4k. The other two remaining players were split on the remaining 2.5k. Blinds were 200-400. All he had to do was kick back, relax, and let the two critical chip stacks duke it out. I'd raised against his blind a few times. I wasn't bullying, just getting good cards. I got KK and made a minimal raise to 800. The button and small blind folded and he went all in. When I called, he revealed 10-4 off suit. I'm sure had I folded he would have flashed his great bluff he made against the chip leader. Turned out I split the$450 payoff, I'm sure much to their delight, with the other two players. I must have laughed for half an hour afterwards, thinking of the expression on his face and possible screams he made when I flipped over my kings.
