Busted last night in Level 12. Lost back-to-back hands with AQ suited (lost to KQ when he flopped a K) and AK suited (lost to KK - for the second time on the day I had AK and lost to KK on an AIPF!). But it was great fun. Thank you to Debi and CardsChat! Can't wait for the next one.

hi all, yeah as Donna mentioned service is a bit of the pits and my phone just died on me.

I had grinded my stack up to about 45k at one point and was looking good to pick up another nice pot after flopping a boat with 66 on a 996 board however it went runner runner 88 to give his 97 the bigger boat and lost about 9k chips at that point.

Not long after the table got broke down and moved to another table where things just didn't want to go my way, lost about 9k after a guy runner runnered into a boat after I hit an A on the flop and he called my cbet with his T on the AT4 board T4 being spades, turn was a T where it went x/x and river was the J of spades ........ obv my read was off as figured him for a weak A as well in this spot and that we would be chopping the pot so when I checked and he bet about 40% of the pot i figured he was repping the flush to push me out rather than chop however I called to find out he had JT :puke:.

Had gotton a few other hands but having to lay them down I eventually dropped to about 18k when third break started and after comming back from break (where myself donna and debi had met) I got aq about 2 hands in and utg (who had been in just about every hand since i got moved) raised there was an mp caller and I with the AQ jammed my 16/17 bb but ran into utg having KK and of course he turns a boat so no hope for me to hit an A.

Didn't play Flight C as after going from 45k to out in about 45 minutes just didn't feel I was going to play the greatest at that moment and I was starved as hadn't eaten at that point and it was about 5:15 or so......met up with donna and had a drink and chitchat and then went to check how debi was doing and finally found out she also had busted and decided not to play flight c so we found her and all hung out and chat.....it was fun and so glad to have met all the people I have so far :D

May or may not play anything today, but back for the 6max tomorrow and as already planned will be dawning my cc gear through the events so go go go to any #teamcardschat members that will be playing other events and still representing cc :D

How can you be in the seniors when you only look 21?

Geez, 2 of us out with AQ and another one of us (me) crippled with it, then out the next hand with AKs. I did a lot better with crap hands than with strong ones. I won my biggest pot with K8 off when I rivered a King and checked. My opponent then bet 12k and I called.

I had worked my way up to 52k in Level 11 but couldn't make it last.

Oh well. Really hoping to make it back in July for the National Championship.

Thanks to Debi and CC for letting me rep them. I will wear my CC hoodie and baseball cap whenever I play in a poker tournament from here on out. I really love that the hoodie is a zipup and not a pullover, because if it gets warm I can just unzip and wear it as a jacket.

It was very difficult in this scenario to get pics of the team. Everyone is playing and by the time we get to breaks and call family and hit the bathroom - maybe get a snack if lucky - break is over.

Then there was the dead cell phone issues which affected most everybody by afternoon. Your phone must use a lot of juice trying repeatedly to connect to the internet. :(

Exactly. And there were no places to plug in during the breaks for a few minutes. You know, maybe CardsChat could buy one of those mobile charging stations and set it up in the lobby next year as a service/promo for players. Or, we could buy one and charge folks $10 an hour to charge their phones! Man, we could make a killing.

Ha - no thanks - I would rather play in the tournament than deal with that lol.

Would be a good idea for someone in that industry though.

We did buy some super cool chargers for you guys that had CardsChat on them - but too many of them were defective so I had to get a refund. :(

A look back at how I did on my goals for the tourney

1. Not be the first to go out on Saturday. - Accomplished.
2. Win a hand - Accomplished.
3. Make it to the first break - Accomplished, but had to survive an AIPF with JJ vs. 88. Fortunately no 8 came.
4. Knock somebody out of the tournament - Accomplished. Actually knocked out 2 people.
5. Double up my chip stack to 20,000 - Accomplished.
6. Make it to the second break - Accomplished.
7. Double up my chip stack again to 40,000 - Accomplished. Got it up to as high as 52k.
8. Make it to the end of the first day - Not accomplished.
9. Make it to the money
10. Make it to the top 100
11. Make it to the top 50
12. Make it to the final table
13. Win the whole damn thing!

Got up to No. 7. Not bad for my first time. Will do better next time.

Quick wrap up for me now that I'm home.
1. Played 3 tourneys, other than the misread flush, I enjoyed all 3 of them. 1st was the turbo buy in which I won a seat in. 2nd was the misread hand, which I'm still not happy about. 3rd was seniors, I was card dead and chanced my dwindling chip stack on AQ, still don't know if it was the right play but was at level 6 and knew I wouldn't last much longer and no sense in buying back in at that point.

2. Meeting Debi, Dave, Walt and his buddy Baxter were the highlights of my trip. You were all awesome and I played at the tables with Baxter and Dave which was also a highlight. I told Baxter he needed to represent CC as I am pretty sure he cashed the 365. He was 19th going into day two, so he could have folded to the cash with his chip stack.:)

3. I better start saving because I knew I want to do this again. Thanks to CC again for the opportunity.

4. The only lowlights of the trip was not representing for CC better and the drive, maybe I need to save for Vegas and just fly out.
