"In the long run there's no luck in poker, but the short run is longer than most people know." - Rick Bennett

This just speaks to me when in the midst of having more losing sessions than winning ones, where you are beginning to question your play. If you are confident you are making the right decisions (and just knowing that is unbelievably difficult), then you need to stick with it. Eventually, skill will prevail.

Sometimes there is amazing luck. Its almost like luck is a skill players can build with their own talent.

I prefer tournaments because we can rely on the moment of the tournament and the players stack with which hands to call or fold or even a raise, on the other hand in money games you need to know a little about the type of opponents

For me, cash games are more profitable, but I prefer tournaments. I love the pace of the tournament, going from big stack to small stack, and adjusting my play based on the blind changes.

Tournaments are more fun for me, but the time commitment is real. Cash games are better for bankroll building and shorter sessions (ideal to keep sharp imo). I take breaks every hour when playing cash and it's hard to do with tournaments.

both are fun, and you could make money: faster in cash games, but way bigger in big tournaments like wsop, WCOOP, WPT and so.

I am not a pro. But i have a sensation that i lose less in cash games. Tournaments are hard and very competitive. IMO Cash games have more recreative players.

I prefer tournaments, where everyone enters with the same amount of chips, because in a paid game if there is an opponent who has more money than you at the table because he brought it from his cashier, he has a great advantage in his game and how to run to the rest.

I like tournaments with level changes of more than 10 minutes. Pay the buy in and I will not lose more than that, in cahs there is never a brake.
Also I do not have a bank to play cahs.

Thank, good luck :D

you can win money with both... but the way that you play to get money is different. In the tournment you need to survive, in cash game you need to win big pots.

I used to play tournaments, but the advantage of cash games is that they’re faster and I get out whenever I want.

I think that in micro it`s better to play tournaments due to the rake, but cash games surely give you the opportunity to make a more guaranteed money and they depend a little less of luck, i think.

I prefer tournaments! I don't control the bankroll in cash games! and the excitement is greater: when you get to the final table out of 100 or 1000 players

I will only play Cash Games inside of a casino. I only play tournaments and sit and go's online. Cash games have gone very bad for me online. I'd definitely play some tournaments inside a casino as well.

They're both so different. If I have unlimited time, I will play a tournament or two.

If I have limited time, it has to be cash games.

Both. But prefer tournaments online and cash in person. I’ve done both online & in person but those ways seem best for me personally

I like both, but I prefer online tournaments, and face-to-face cash. Maybe if I ever play a live MTT I'll end up choosing these too. I do not know:cool::cool:

I prefer tournaments seems like less pressure to me and in the free rolls offered by cc the pressure is really less although its such a great feeling to win as the competition is incredibly fierce
