I've never tried this to be honest, people are built different, some might play better while others will say is a big mistake.

The only thing I tried was Alcohol and Poker, wasn't drunk drunk but had a little to drink and maybe it was just my day but I managed to make the final table, But that doesn't mean that it's a good combo, sometimes you just run good regardless.
True everyone reacts differently and I also say it depends on how much you smoke xD
Some people play thoughtless others it helps to be more stoic and less emotional which can benefit your game.

Wow, best response.

To respond on the topic, I don't think relaxing with weed will help your game. It's a downer so it will make you slower and less focused. Also studies have shown that weed can kill your motivation in the long run.

I only tried weed two or three times in my life, and didn't like it very much. Anyways I don't believe it could make you to make better decisions. I already played poker kind of drunk with bad results, I must say.

I’ve never played under influence, but I suppose it can help you to enter the flow state

Weed is not an aide, its a lifestyle.
And what a wasted life it feels like.
Still I'm content with it.

Please smoke a lot of weed and drink a bottle of vodka with it.
I would like to welcome you to my table.
To mine too.

Getting organized, knowing what limits I have with my bankroll helps me have more confidence day by day.

I think everyone should learn to relax without alcohol or drugs. If you want to relax, try meditation or a walk in the fresh air. If you want to distract yourself, try playing poker :)

I haven't tried it yet. I think it relaxes you a bit at first and relieves tension, but I don't know how useful it can be later. It's not good to make decisions that are too loose.

I've never tried marijuana, I have no desire to try it, and I never will, especially when playing poker. But I encourage my opponents to smoke marijuana before playing poker, so that their minds are heavily charged with the drug and their logical reasoning is significantly impaired.

I'm a heavy smoker, so yes, smoking relaxes me. But only regular cigarettes, nothing special.

A lot of people have the mistaken belief that High Rollers refers to the buy in they play.

If you've never tried it, how do you know logical reasoning is significantly impaired.

Honestly, it depends on your goals and how you handle it. For a casual home game with friends, it can make the night more fun and help you relax. But if you’re grinding online or playing in serious tournaments, it’s usually a bad idea. Weed can slow down your thinking, mess with memory, and make you more impulsive—three things you don’t want at the poker table.

I think everyone reacts differently. For some it may help them relax, but in my opinion it doesn’t help, because it harms concentration.

Mixing weed and poker is a controversial topic because it affects focus, decision-making, and emotional control—three of the most important aspects of the game. Some players feel it helps them relax and enjoy the game, while others find it impairs judgment and slows reaction time. In the long run, relying on any substance can be risky, especially in high-stakes or competitive environments. The key is self-awareness: understanding how it affects your play, setting limits, and prioritizing clear thinking if you want to perform consistently well.

I don't smoke, I don't drink and I don't use drugs, so it's difficult to give my opinion.

I don't have any way of comparing playing on weed or not. Don't think I've ever played poker not on weed.

I already played poker and drank beer, I've never smoked but I think it's a similar feeling, being drunk while playing poker didn't bring me anything good, I wasn't even really paying attention to the game, I lost a lot that day hahahaha.

I do it every time I play. Probably makes me play worse honestly. I still do it though. Gotta stick to your principles.
