With any Addiction it is very hard to address and the only advice would be to stop and get away from the temptation to Gamble in any situation.
I have been very close to being Addicted to Slot machines in my younger days and I saw what it was doing to me so I quit going to the Arcades, and this in itself was not easy as my wife was a manageress of one so I was always there to help her out and pick her up when she closed at the end of the day. The temptation was always there but I did it, I stopped myself by not putting a single coin in the damned things and cursed the day I started.
It's not easy when you have them so close you can feel the demons in your head telling you you need that buzz.
I feel that I have an addictive personality as I was a heavy smoker all my life and only stopped after I had a heart attack and had to go through surgery, all too late alas.
My drinking also had to stop even though I used to go out with friends and I could drink most of them under the table. Now 2 or 3 cans are more than enough for me and usually only once or twice a week.
Luckily I manage my Poker playing as a pastime I enjoy. I have never deposited on any site and only play for fun, Sure I play the free-rolls and I buy into Sit n Goes but it is only money I have won in the first place, I built up a
bankroll of over 150 dollars on one site before it went bust and I lost the lot overnight, Was I pissed? Hell Yes! Did I cry about it? No Way! you have to understand I do not feel that any money I make on-line is real, It is virtual money.
I do not need it nor do I really want it, I just want to play for the love of a game I enjoy and if it cost's me nothing doing it so much the better.
When the fun Stops, STOP!
