The most annoying players are early stage players who play any 2 cards and are lucky. I attach a screen

For online play it is the all players 150BB deep over and over. every player is allowed to play this way but when they play 50% of hands this way hurts the game.

As for live and this one pisses me off, It's the buy in amounts. Let me clear this up. In our area of the country most tournament buy ins are quite high compared to other areas on the county. wsop circuit events starting at $370.00 and many daily's in the $150 to $250 range as well. Hell, the only Saturdays tournaments at Foxwoods is $500.00 buy in and Wednesdays is $260.00. Just way out of this dads affordability range.

I think nothing in the game itself bothers me, but always those players who play sporadically in an uncontrolled way, giving ALL all the time, this affects almost all players ...

Poker is a game that I can play every day if I can, I can never get tired of this game despite all the bad vibes that may hit me while playing at times, and the thing that bothers me is not finding time to play ;)

Overall - bad beats, and in tournaments - the inevitable length of them.

Is it bad if I ask you to please mind your own business. They ask a question about what annoys me and I give an answer of a recent game. I am not asking for poker lectures, thank you.

Being aggressive gives them 2 ways to win the hand. Maybe 3 ways?
  • getting people to fold better hands
  • having the best hand by the river
  • having a worse hand, then improving
In the end, aggression works.

I do not think so. In most cases, players who have no idea about poker believe that aggressive play will help them win, although in the long run, a lack of skills and experience will lead to any aggressive player losing.

Losing to magical runouts. I've lost flops where I was 98% favorite late in tournament...

not a good feeling.

Another thing is when you get it all in as the big fav and if you win the hand you win the tourney but luck gives you an enema.

I like to save screenshots when I make FTs. Looking back, I've had at least 5 instances in the last couple of years in the final two where if I won a hand (where I was a big fav going in) I would have won the tourney. Instead I lost the big pot and ended up 2nd. There are probably a few more than that. I just didn't grab a screenshot of everything. I don't remember anymore.

I am talking about hands like AQ vs A6, or QQ vs. 55 type of AIPF showdowns.

On the flip side I've also gotten lucky a few times, but luck has definitely hurt me more than it has helped.

Even when I do win it's like pulling teeth. This year I had one where it was KK vs. 9T. It went all in on the flop. Villain made trips on the turn and I needed a miracle river K to win the tourney. In another, I first lost AA vs JJ AIPF, then the very next hand it was KK vs. KQ and the other guy flopped a straight! I had to get runner runner FH to survive and then I ended up needing a river Q (I had AQ) to beat A8 on the final hand. He flopped an 8. Again, AIPF, and again, was the big fav when all the chips went in.

Head spinning stuff when thinking about the unlikely probabilities.

What annoys me?
People who constantly go all in. And then me calling the one wrong one.

On the other had, when you hit a full house on the flop and check and have someone go all in, that somewhat makes up for it.

I can understand this. My advice is to make sure you're actually looking at a error in your decision making and not being result oriented.

A decision error might be overplaying 22 for 40 bbs on the bubble because you tried to 3bet bluff preflop and got caught up trying to represent a big hand. Being result oriented is you 3bet jam with AK for 15 bbs effective, get called by AQ, and bubble an mtt.

In the first example, you made poor decisions throughout the hand. In the second, you made the best play and got your money in good, but still lost. In the latter example, losing with the best hand on the bubble isn't an error.

In this case, when I talk about mistakes, I mean hasty and ill-considered decisions that sometimes happen. In general, the basis of all my mistakes is the lack of sufficient patience. Although I always try to be patient, but unfortunately I do not always succeed.
