What Attracts You to Poker?

Hi! As for me, poker is really good game! On the one hand, if it involves money, it wiil be more interesting and attractive, in such case you have some kind of "goal"..... On the other hand, even without money, this game train your brain, make you think hader, better and faster.....it depend on everybody's purpose.....

I'm into games and fun competition. I learned poker (5 card draw) when I was really young from my grandfather.. and then back in 2006, my roommate at the time got me into Texas Hold 'Em, which I didn't think I'd be into it, but I was. Won my first tournament 3 months after that, and just have been hooked ever since.

Money is a big part of the reasosns why poker is so popular. It definitely wouldn't be the same, if there was no money. But I'm also attracted, because of the reads that you have to make and the mind games. Every time you play, it is different and that makes it really intresting.

I started playing poker under the influence of my brother and I fell in love with the game, after a while playing realized that I could make money.

when I played poker for first time was with not real money and still like it, I think I liked the emotions that I had from the game winning or losing it's so interesting card game cause it doesn't need to be lucky to win .

Personally I feel that yes, I can play with fictitious money and feel the same emotion, an intellectual challenge is attractive with or without money, is to measure yourself with others and try to be better

but I love the bravery no limit hold em takes to win a tourney. When you are getting pushed around by a much more superior player its agony but after enough whippings you learn how to "be" the bully! Its the only game i know of where being a dirty bully is celebrated.. MIND CONTROL

You can never stop learning! hands n more hands and you keep realizing new things. This is such a math game! I just discovered the strategy article section of this site! WOW!!! my game needs a tune up, so glad I went broke and needed access to freerolls. Cardschat going to get me out of the hood and into some sweet buy ins some day! lol

I like the old "cards be live and your pots be monsters!"
My friend says that when no prize is on the line, he will play much differently. Doesn't care too much, but when there's a prize to be won, he plays rather well.
