I agree with this totally. It took me a long time to manage and understand tilt.
The best advice I ever got was to learn to manage tilt. It requires a shift in mindset. I think it was one of the many Schoonmaker books that made me realise that when people suck out on you through bad play it's these people that your money eventually comes from.

Best advise I ever had was, "don't take your guns to town".

No, just kidding, was told by several peeps, that I should not play poker because I suck at the game. And, they were correct. But, I have not taken that advise.

Play 1 step ahead of you opponent. Play tight if the table is loose and vice versa.

In MTT, play aggressively with good cards around the bubble. Many players are content not play and just make it to the $$$. This seems to be one of the only things that works for me these days. I truly love playing poker and despite frustration, I have fun at the tables. p.s i don't use $$ that i don't have.

I heard it on rounders, and ever since it has helped me because I get up from strong tables, but Matt Damon said if you can not spot the sucker in the first 30 minutes then you are the sucker. It is very true, because there is always one giving away money or being easy to pick off. I like this and all of the advice I have read here is very solid.
