What to do with boredom ?

Well friends , all of you have already gone through tedious moments in the poker table or even play for hours without any profitability.

As you prepare psychologically for this? I admit that not assimilated yet. I put everything to lose at times.

I often write little notes and paste on your computer to remind me not to go on tilt but do not control. Any tips ?

I play on enough tables to keep my busy but not buried. that way I don't get bored and try chasing too much.

There are two solutions:
1. Add more tables)), then the boredom to evaporate as well as money)))))
2. Parallel to watch movies TV series shows including poker.

Boredom from not running well?

Like said before, try adding an extra table as you go and see if it keeps the mind busier. Just keep adding games, but Dont over play them though or get in to deep by having too many games at once.

this is something that my hurts me at times playing long tournaments, there comes a point dae same that I find boring and start to play with either hand, that's when I realize that discipline and patience are betraying me .. . losing the achievement made.

I've used music but find that without it I play OK

Boredom - I find I have to concentrate nearly all the time but update notes so that regular player patterns become known and taken advantage of as occasions arise.

Multi games - 2 at most otherwise you are just playing without being able to fully concentrate and find other players weakness

I think you need to focus not on profit but on the combination of which can cause you entires ,so you will be distracted from thoughts of what the game is long and tedious and the gains are minimal

Y'know, I've played in a fair number of freeroll tournaments that went on for well over three hours and I've never been "bored" while playing. That's because I'm watching what other players do and trying to figure out why they're doing what they do (especially once it reaches the point after late reg ends and most of the donks are out).

In short, I cannot imagine being bored while playing. I'm too focused on trying to improve my gameplay.

How I fight boredom online and at the casino.

Online I definitely rock the tunes and get 4 tables going at the same time. Casino I like to chat people up to get a good read later but definitely rock my mp3's too when I'm not in on the action. Best of luck at the tables!!

not a big music fan so I Watch TV and read this forum don't have a problem in spring and summer but late autumn and winter are killers for me

Well , if I don't have a good day at cash games and I'm bored I stop playing cause it's very probable to make a mistake and lose more than usual , there no point in contninuing plying on some tables/zoom if you're losing .
If it's a tournament , I try listening to some music , watch a movie on tv or online , see if anything new on my emails or on CC forum , eat a snack . I might open a micro sng or a play money sng or other game for fun to keep my mind occupied with sth , wash my head (cause when I'm ored I start getting sleepy ) , and if all these fail , well , then bye bye , close the tourney table , shut down the pc and probably go for sleep

... music is usually on , don't tend to play big tourneys due to the time it takes , play mainly cash tables or smaller private games that don't take all day , also i don't reg for anything if i don't really feel like playing at that time , music really helps focus , also helps to either wake you up or calm you down

Keep adding tables so you don't lose focus, paralleled with music I find helps. Or you can keep playing a couple tables at a time and load up a movie =)! If you still find yourself tilting, I would say sit out an orbit or two if it's cash and make yourself some tea or hot chocolate, just to get your head over the beat so you don't start spewing.
