What do you think about having the same nickname everywere: good or bad idea?

I use EmilyWT in ACR, Global Poker, and Replay Poker which are the three rooms I play in. I enjoy chatting with people while playing, so in addition to being my name it also makes me easier to remember.

For memorizing, I think it's very good, especially because the way you play when you want to evolve changes over time and according to the players you're facing. Having the same nickname doesn't hurt!

I believe that having different nicknames can be a good strategy, as it hides a little about you! Now I keep mine the same in almost every room.

For me it is normal, and I like the idea because if you are good, your name already has its prestige and when you play in other poker rooms people already have respect for you, for me it is good.

I think it's indifferent, but I prefer to unify. I only make a variation when the nickname is unavailable.

Apparently this is convenient. Have the same nickname in different rooms. But everything was different for me from the beginning, and now there’s probably no point in changing anything

having the same nickname is cool because if you play a lot, you will know that you are a strong player and I will try to play against you very carefully because they can lose and I will know on all poker sites that you play a lot and this may help you in the future if you become famous and famous to advertise some clothes or something like that

You will not change of course,

but your nickname can be different on various sites.

I have done both, but not really any strategy/thinking behind it. It was more a function of one name being used along time ago, and then not playing online for a few years, then just on the fly registering with a different name when I started playing again. I tend to agree with the original poster that there is some benefit to not readily being recognized if you tend to play with the same smallish group of people.

In general, I think that the screen name has no fundamental importance and I am sure that the player's screen name does not affect his results. I usually use a screen name that consists of part of my last name, part of my first name and part of my year of birth
