I played all sorts of silly games on my computer as a pastime. My son once asked why don't I play poker? At the very least, you can win if you do well. That's how I started online poker. This has been over ten years. Since then, poker has still been just a pastime.

I started to play with college friends.

When I was a stay-at-home Dad for 9 years (worked evenings/weekends opposite hours from
my spouse) I discovered on-line poker.
It was a chance to hang out (virtually) with folks that were toilette trained and it was a great way to maintain some sanity.

I started to play back in the 80's, with friends.. Mostly 5 card draw, pregnant threes, that kind of thing. I got into online play around 2004..

Once a family member asked me to play a cash with friends in person, it was my first time playing poker, that day I managed to get $50 the buy in was $5 smal blind 0.01 and bigblind 0.02 I was fine happy with the profits for being the first time playing, many said it was beginner's luck 😂..

My father and mother , got me into poker. When I was younger they played poker, with my uncle's and aunts. They would come over , to our place and play poker. Every Friday nights and Saturday nights. They had a blast ,with all who played. My brother and my sister, would love watching them play. Money always moving from , one side of the table to the other. Learned a lot from watching then play poker. That's why I got into it at a young age.

I knew the game of listening. But I didn't even know the rules. A brother-in-law started playing live and introduced me to the basics of the game. So during the pandemic I had idle time and started playing. But it was CardsChat that kept me in the game. After I joined this community I didn't stop playing anymore. I have learned a lot since then.

A few friends from talked about it and we played 5 Card Draw once but I did not like it. Then one day a Late Night Host hosted a SNG and we watched it at home. I was hooked immediately. At that time some of mine were already on Pokerstars and since then Poker has become part of my life.
