My friend introduced me to poker, on his birthday he showed up with some chips and taught me how to play, like always when we get together to play board games.
Then he came up with this novelty that I still have and it's been about 6 years.

I watched a poker tournament, and was amazed that these people were playing with $100 mil stacks so I kept watching until I realised that I was an idiot. By that point I had figured out that I liked poker though.

In my case, we always got together with my friends on weekends to eat (a barbecue) and we always played poker. As a result, around 2014 I started my account at Pokerstars and from that moment I started playing online. This game is beautiful !!!

I saw my brother playing it online back in 2005 and initially I thought the game was stupid but after watching him for awhile I became very interested. I then started forming games during lunch break at school and most of my friends were clueless so it was an easy meal every day

What got me into poker, was mostly curiosity, was I able to survive in the games and how much money, did I have to spend on it.

A friend of mine played poker and he told me that he spend $100 a month on poker.

I decided to try and play as long as it did not cost me any money.

CC free rolls kept my bankroll floating and got me into the tournaments on PS.

When I was in high school, and college, we used to play, and I usually came out ahead. I quit, after someone said: "Hey, you can see the cards in his glasses!" That's many years ago, and I decided on that day, that I would never play face to face, again......and I haven't.

I didn't get involved again for many years, until Paradise Poker came along, with online poker. So, now, I can wear my coke bottles, and play unhindered.

I'm still winning, but barely enough to say I'm still winning...lol.

btw....Paradise Poker, at one time, offered a free poker set to all their active players, in an attempt to stay afloat. I got one, and I still have it. It's in a beautiful metal attache case, and the inside has remained untouched except to look at it. There are 2 decks of cards, six sets of chips, and a dealer button.....all still sealed. It is totally awesome.

Televised poker got me interested and pretty much taught me poker. Then I started to go to the casino with a GF that liked to play the nickel & dime slots once or twice a month. I did not so wondered over to poker and watch and then entered a few charity tournaments, won 3 of 7 (only about 300 people ea) and I was hooked.
