For me, it's when I realize very early in the hand that my cards probably aren't good enough, but I still insist on playing the hand anyway. Sometimes I convince myself that something might happen on the turn or river, or that I can still win the pot.

Then I end up losing a big part of my stack because I didn't trust my first instinct and didn't fold when I should have. That's probably one of the most frustrating things for me, because deep down I usually know I should have let the hand go.

What about you? What is the thing that frustrates you the most when you're playing poker?

I often make impulsive calls without taking the time to think, whereas when I do take the time to reflect, I almost always make the right decisions; that is the biggest issue I'm working on.

"For me, the most frustrating thing in poker isn't even a regular bad beat, because variance is just part of the game. What really makes me angry is when a completely reckless player makes an incredibly terrible, illogical call on the flop or turn with zero equity, and then hits their 2-outer on the river. It’s hard to stay calm when bad play gets rewarded. Slow rolling and toxic chat behavior also annoy me, but nothing tests my bankroll and mental control like a runner-runner miracle for a bingo player!"

Play tournaments against Asians, especially Chinese. They gamble every hand, and you never know what to expect.

What makes me angry, when I have a good pair or two pairs, and seeing that there is a probability of ladder or color on the table, the opponent throws himself into the line, I pay out of curiosity, I end up losing all my chips.

It’s about understanding that you won’t always hit big prizes; as the saying goes, you build your bankroll little by little

Interestingly, I actually like recreational players.
The early 2000s were great, back when 80% of people didn't know how to play poker 🙂
It was easy money.
There’s really only one thing in poker that can really get under my skin, and that’s the slowroll.
