After 20 years not really much surprises me. Pretty much seen it all or heard it all. A few things that make me shake my head are:
1) How terrible players still are in 2024 despite all the FREE learning content available to them.
2) Poker players in 2024(after all the history and scams) that still loan poker players money and then act shocked and surprised when they never get paid back. They much have been living on Mars all these years.
3) How upset players get at losing at micro stakes.
4) How many players are stupid enough to play on unregulated poker sites and then are surprised/shocked when they win and don't get paid. Mars must be getting close to over populated already lol.

Unknown moments, surprises and, of course, an interesting pastime. Poker is a game that really entertains me, and I definitely enjoy the process, regardless of whether I manage to win money or not. It's just that if I manage to win money and increase my bankroll, then I feel very motivated and confident and it's definitely a good feeling

I don't know if I call it surprise or irritates me but the changes to the manner of betting by most players...used to be that a normal raise pre flop was 3x BB, now most players Limp pre flop. thereby letting the BB in for free...and therefore creating a lot of wins by poor starting hands that catch.

I think that's what happens, a lot of people play poker for years and haven't found their true game or haven't fulfilled their dreams and that's why their game looks so hysterical and depressingly panicky

I still get surprised at how bad people can play even in this age of solvers. That being said I don't play high stakes so people probably just don't care

Thats definitely not true as a general statement. Overall the game got more aggressive in the last few years. U see that maybe a lot in freerolls/the private freerolls u are playing and on micros but those tournaments/games do not mean too much if we look at the great scheme of things 😉

range advantage distribution is still better from the button ,no matter the sizing
position is still better from the button ,no matter the sizing
BB has a wider range if the button limps or min raises
