Good morning everyone.
Generally, I tend to win big pots with weak hands when I am in the Big Blind. For example, I play hands like 5-4 suited, 6-5, 7-5, 9-8 suited, or any suited hand like that.
Many times I hit a set, a flush, and the villain is there with AA thinking it is very strong and wants to play a pot of 100 or 200 blinds. He thinks top pair never loses, like on a 5-5-2 board. Then he bets, you check-raise, he keeps insisting and ends up committing to the pot.
This happens a lot in micro stakes. At higher stakes it is harder, because villains play more according to the real strength of their hand. The more expensive the buy-in, the better the players are.
So, the hand I win the most pots with is usually when I am in the Big Blind with suited hands, even the weaker ones, like 2-3 suited, 4-5 suited.
According to theory, you should defend practically most suited hands, something close to 95% or even more, of course, always paying attention to the villains.
