What are your favorite starting hands?

My least favorite hand is easily Q9s. Small flushes get you in trouble, and a single pair is almost never good. The worst part, though, is when you run into AQ and stack off to the nut straight.

I must agree getting attached to hand because of it's type is a mistake. Evaluate the situation and play based off your cards, your opponents. That said when I was starting out I loved Q6.

I heard that before Sklansky ran the numbers it was thought that TJs was THE strongest starting hand in Holdem.
78s is the hand I've had the most straight flushes with.

I'm not sure about my first hand maybe, QT suited but I usually hate my first few hands cuz I find in a lot of tournaments unless big stakes a lot of people go all in right away To get a bank roll. Now anytime during a game I Love J9. Absolutely love those card. They are a easy fold but I hit so well with big hands.

I'm glad someone is lucky with JJ. That is my LEAST favorite hand. I actually fold JJ pre flop fairly often.

It's funny how so many people hate JJ, while it is a fairly good hand, better than 22-TT for sure already. Do you also fold TT pre flop as much as you fold JJ or? Playing TT more than JJ wouldn't really make sense to me.

Kings for sure. I mean there is few hands i love to see in pocket. But KK is mine favourite! After KK for me AA is 2nd. 3rd place is 7-6 suited. Cheers!

Yeah, it's pretty hard to win with that hand unimproved.

I once doubled up in a tourney with that hand on the money bubble (one of those crazy freerolls on Hero Poker that paid top 3 regardless of the size of the field - usually was anywhere from 150-300 players). I ended up winning that tournament too (first prize was $100 if I'm not mistaken).

Of course AA and KK. I also tend to like AJs if flop hits a J or hits a flush draw. Small PPs are also fun because they hit well disguised sets.

My opponents really seem to like J5o. I've lost to J5o on the river so many times it's gross. They also seem to love Ax and 104o.
